I feel compelled to post because I'm seeing a lot of generic hard rock and metalcore (not that I don't like metalcore, but let's be honest. It's basic).
Just a few of my favorites right now that are somewhat newish:
Brotality (Thrash)
Symphony of Heaven (Blackened Death, latest album is somewhat melodic)
Jonava (Black Metal)
Divine Incision (Brutal Death Metal)
Testimony of the Apocolypse (Thrash/Groove metal)
Burial Extraction (Old School Death Metal)
Mangled Carpenter (Grindcore)
Also into the more classic or well known ones. Living Sacrifice, Drottnar, Crimson Moonlight, Crimson Thorn, Krig, Tourniquet, Saint, the list goes on and on. Making a note on my name because so many people throw zao in when recommending Christian bands, they're not Christian by any means (only one Christian member), even though the members still have a lot of respect for their Christian fans, they've all been open about how they're not Christians (minus the one mentioned), and just looking at their song lyrics, they've never really had an Christian related songs since Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest.
