Translation do make a differences but unless God the Father open a person's mind they can not understand.
which is why there are 40,000 flavors of churches.

Isaiah 28

9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.
Spiritually mature

10 For precept [must be] upon precept , precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little:

Truth is scattered through out the entire Word of God

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

The Word of God was not meant to be understood by an unconverted mind

12 To whom he said, This [is] the rest [wherewith] ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

NLT a little here, and a little there, so that they will stumble and fall. They will be injured, trapped, and captured.

And what do folks do,, they pick the scriptures that match what they want to believe and dump the rest.

Heavens no! God intends unconverted minds to hear His Word/Truth and convert! (Deut. 30:19, 1Tim. 2:3-4, Matt. 7:7, 23:37, Heb. 11:6)
Do not blame your sinfulness on God!

hmm random question eh?
well honestly one part of the Bible has been on my mind concerning the circumstances of Jacob, Rachel and Leah and the passage following saying a man may have 2 wives the one loved the one hated now in today's culture primarily the belief is 1 spouse for 1 spouse but, also considering the circumstances of kings like David and Solomon with many wives is at the very least 2 spouses for 1 spouse allowed and acceptable to God/Jesus?
very serious and Bible passages appreciated😀

Still going with the 40K lie, even after being corrected.

The actual number is 41,000 and I will ask a question.

IF ?? If the “40,000 flavors of Confusion” are all on God’s path to ‘salvation’;

then doctrine does not matter and how one lives their life matters not as well.

If you say not all are accepted by God then by what criteria, what doctrines can be used to make that determination As to what is acceptable and what is not?

There aren't 40k differences. Stop lying.

you mean the catholic believe the same as the baptist or the SDA or the LDS???
How about 50% believe in a rapture and 50% do not
some are born again some are not
some believe we have immortal souls
and just on this site wow
Some baptize some just drop a little water
Many use idols, they call icons

I'll stick with 40,000

Liars usually do continue in their lies.

I didn't say there weren't differences. I said there aren't 40k differences. Not even close. You've provided no proof that there is

the proof is there are 40,000

from the web;

""The answer might surprise you! While exact numbers vary, some estimates suggest there are more than 45,000 distinct Christian denominations worldwide.Dec 12, 2024""

May I suggest we try to unify the denominations on CC?
How can we do that?
Perhaps beginning with you and the masked man?

Jesus taught monogamous marriage in Matt. 19:4-6.

TOJ #104: Marriage is a spiritual union until death. [Matt. 19:4-6] The phrase about leaving one’s father and mother means that a man—and a woman—should be ready for marriage by attaining a sufficient degree of independence from their parents, both financial and psychological. They should be prepared to become parents themselves, even if they hope not to have a child for awhile, which means they should be rather spiritually mature, having the same love for each other as Christ has for His bride, the church.

The marital commitment is (or should be, cf. TOJ #109) signified by sexual union or becoming “one flesh” (Gen. 2:24), although it may be proper to fulfill legal and traditional expectations such as licenses and ceremonies for the purpose of avoiding being “a stumbling block to the weak” (1Cor. 8:9), who do not understand the essence of marriage. Obviously, that which must not be separated is the spiritual unity, so the sin of divorce also is a spiritual event and reality before it becomes a legal one. This realization should motivate spouses to work on the quality of their communication before serious problems develop in their relationship. (See TOJ #26.)

As the son of parents who were happily married for 70 years, and as the husband of a happy wife for 52 years, I affirm this TOJ.
Have a happy New Year!

this confusion will only end when Satan, the god of this world is put away and The KING of Kings returns to rule with a "Rod of Iron". Until then it will only get worse. Brother will turn against brother.

When has man ever in 6000 years brought about unity???

the 45,000 number may even grow, divide and conquer! Is one of Satan's ways.

I have been around for over 85 years and I have never seen America more divided, we are at the end.

May God grant you another 10 (and me another 20) years!
I agree that in heaven the confusion/spiritual division will end, but how will that happen?
Via everyone cooperating fully with God's loving HS?
Should we not pray and strive for such cooperation to occur on earth as in heaven?
(Matt. 6:10 & Phil. 2:12-15)

With man peace and prosperity is not possible, Christ told us to pray for His return, "THY Kingdom come"

When Christ returns to earth as KING He will begin to restore all things as they were at the beginning.
Christ will restore the entire earth as the Garden of Eden.
It will take time but that is certain.
the Old Testament describes this in great detail

but when His feet land on the Mount of Olives, 90% of the 8 plus billion alive today will have died.
Only God's tithe, 10% will remain alive.

With God all things are possible (Matt. 19:26).
Thy Kingdom come = Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10).
We have 10-20 years left, may we be found faithful stewards of GW (Luke 12:42-43),
So God will accept our offering (Lev. 27:30, Matt. 7:21, Gen. 4:7).
