In the heart of shadows, where darkness prevails,
There came a light, as bright as dawn's first rays.
Not born of mortal hand, nor earthly sight,
But from the heavens, descended pure and bright.
Jesus, the Son, the Light of the World,
In his sight, the darkness forever fled.
With gentle words and deeds profound,
He walked among us, heaven-bound.
Through valleys deep and mountains tall,
His light shone bright, dispelling all.
The lost, the broken, the weary soul,
Found solace in his light's console.
Yet, like a flame amidst the storm,
He faced the world, both fierce and warm.
With steadfast grace and love untold,
His light, eternal, forever bold.
In every heart, in every land,
His light still shines, a guiding hand.
For though he walked this earth before,
His light lives on, forevermore.
So let us walk in his pure light,
Through darkest days and endless night.
For in his love, we find our way,
Jesus, the Light, forever to stay.
