do you think its possible to turn medicine into an idol? im not advocating for replacing all medicine with prayer or anything like that though i do think prayer is powerful, im just saying if you think someone regularly taking and depending on a medicine could be in anyway shape or form considered an idol? Or even simple things like food, lets say if someone ate apples everyday and just loved apples if they felt like they couldnt go a day without that apple is that point of becoming an idol? how would you define that?

My uncle died at a relatively young age having made his own will his idol. He didn't plant enough varieties of food in his garden because he wanted to just get by and, because of this, his diet was nutritionally deficient. His own will had failed him.

Do you worship that apple? Do you honor it with your works and your prayers? Do you seek to glorify that fruit above all else in your life? Is there nothing higher than that apple? Do you seek only to the will of that apple? If not it is probably just fondness.

At least I think so!

anything, anyplace or anyone can be an idol at anytime. the devil knows all of our weaknesses & will attack in this manner. when your brain tells you the 1st time you are spending too much time on whatever, STOP, LOOK & LISTEN!!!!!! correct it immediately. apply wisdom! on the apple deal, no. apples are great health. but if you begin to worship apples, my greatness, get out now!
