Is web sex just as bad as physical sex. Even though on the web you are not physically doing something to each other?

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

Need HE say more?

I don't think so. :)

Sorry, I thought web sex was just talking to one another very intensely and sexually....Thank SO much for the reply!!!!!

If you do have web sex. Make sure you use protection. You don't want to get a virus!

Thanks Tobby 17....I was really upset by that you did make me feel better...and cheekygrin, VERY funny....I am not sexually active, I have chosen to wait until after i am married!!!=]

Sort of puzzling. Depends upon which criterion you judge the action.

Connection with someone that isn't your spouse? Well, physical sex would definitely be the worse of the two. The things it does to a person beyond the physical are astounding (I'm a psych major, I have to read about it).

Insofar as how it cheapens sex? I would then say it is worse. If what is meant to be physical connection between man and wife is reduced to people getting their jollies off a keyboard and computer screen, it makes the actual thing look much less special.

Either way, I would avoid it.

If you do have web sex. Make sure you use protection. You don't want to get a virus!

LOVE IT!

whew!!!! :) :) :) However, you apparently do know about it. How did you learn about it?

I'm asking because of something dangerous that happened online to my son when he was about your age...not to be nosey or judgmental :)

If we are Christian's on this site, then we can only judge it by one criteria, by Biblical Criteria.

It was mentioned that Jesus said that (and I paraphrase) "It has been written in the law that if someone has sexual relations with someone other than his/her spouse then he/she has committed adultery, but I tell you that if one looks lustfully at another than he/she has committed adultery in their heart" ( I removed the references to men only in this passage and added the female references).

Jesus also said "Its not what we put into our bodies that make us unclean, but what comes out of our mouths and hearts that does" (Paraphrasing again). Most people take this as a banishing of Jewish dietary laws, but it kinda condemns us for what we say...

Taking these two Biblical truths into account, Web sex, sexting, or whatever you want to call it is sin. God doesn't make a determination between what sin is worse, to him sin is sin. Is it more or less damaging to an individual person? I think some people can handle it more than others, but thats not for me to judge. In God's eyes, one is just as bad as the other.
