Heyy! im Mik and i love purtiy rings...im getting one soon and im just wondering what do u guys think about purity rings???

i have one.
i think that they're nice. i mean, its not only a commitment to your future husband/wife, it's also a commitment to God.

I gots one, they are sweet.
I don't wear it though because I don't like jewelry. I'd loose it anyway though, I go everywhere

i wear one. i like them b/c they are a constant reminder of your commitment and show your respect for yourself and God. that's great that you're getting one :)

i just don't like the marketing ends of things with the rings...my parents bought a beautiful Black Hills gold ring for my confirmation that has been a reminder of my commitment to God and myself in my purity, sexually and also to stay clean of drugs, tobacco, and abusing alcohol....it was never a "purity" ring, but it has the same purpose....

that said, i haven't worn that ring in 10 years because it doesn't fit anymore....doesn't mean i have changed anything about my commitment...jewelry is just jewelry...you make jewelry something you place your hope and trust in, and it takes the form of an idol...use God as your reassurance in your times of struggle, not a piece of jewelry...that's my pair of Lincolns....

i dont think purity ring is meant to be idolized lol but the idea is good and shows othesr also, and if someone asks what it is, i think its also a good way to explain to others what you believe in

A purtity ring is where you take a vow between jesus and yourself to not have sex until you are married.

well i am different than most guys seeing more than the world around me but i find them beautiful and the fact that you are willing to wait tell marriage is like a gift a gift that most guys don't appreciate but i do! again i think there beautiful

i wear a purity ring, and it's saved me. the ring is really just a reminder of your commitment to God and your future spouse. but when a guy is pressuring you to sleep with him and you see that ring, it'll save you. i think it's an awesome idea to wear purity rings or just anything in general that will remind you of your one true lover, Jesus.

I think it's cool u ppl have purity rings n to always have a reminder of u'r commitment to Jesus, but if u have self control n enough confidence in u'rself abt not straying away from the path of righteousness n purity, then the rings wudn't be all tht necessary..but then again, it all depends on the person.

why not????????
It's just more the fact that I don't see the need to wear a ring to remind me of my commitment. If we have our mind set on God at most times as possible, it should be pretty obvious where our commitment lays. I'm not saying it isn't a good idea, but it just isn't for me. I know where my loyalty lays and I don't need a ring to remind me.
