I think most are for all times. Some prophesied about the First Coming.1) Are Psalms in general prophetic about our time? i.e. 21st century
I don't think that their significance breaks along the lines of who penned them necessarily.2) Are Psalms of Asaph to be distinguished from other Psalms as being more or less significant?
I had Bible study today at the church and the topic was the psalm.
I pretty much said what I said earlier and I told them that “I want to go to God but I feel like David is pushing me away.
‘The only logical reason for me to make peace with the psalms is knowing that Jesus quoted them so they must be important for God’s plan”.
Because it makes no logical sense to include them in the Bible.

PSALM 100
Shout for Joy to the Lord, All You Lands!
1{A Psalm of praise.} Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalm 100 is a celebratory Psalm.......Possibly used in the temple in Jerusalem with singing and accompanied with instruments
Also Indicates will be used after 2nd Advent as 'all ye lands' includes Gentiles. The whole earth.
Line 3 Indicates subjection of man's pride to the Will of God.......Yeshua is likely here and again needs be post 2nd Advent
Lines 4-5 Those who enter His gates for eternity will be worshipful and thankful ........post 2nd Advent again
A joyous occasion overall and something to look forward to with delight.
As king of Israel, David had a great deal of responsibility, and many enemies.‘Yeah but see, if you start to interpret the Bible as a puzzle as opposed to a moral guide
or Living Water then the implications of that in real life would be something like this:
1. I hate my boss at work so I want God to strike him down in pain and make me victorious.
I hate anyone who disagrees with me and I want God to strike them down ! I want to be victorious.
But what would this do to your internal peace inside? You’d be completely ruined
and in anger. You’d be consumed just like David. You’d be consumed by your ego.
2. But if you read it as a moral guide it would be : I don’t want to be like David.
As king of Israel, David had a great deal of responsibility, and many enemies.
These things weighed heavily on his heart, and he was constantly seeking comfort from God.
A quick search has this question and answer:
Why was David the greatest king of Israel?
His greatness was due to a combination of factors, namely: providence, courage, divine anointing, his leadership skills, his exploits as
a warrior, his psalms that re-echo humanities emotional struggles, his unparalleled quest for God and his statesmanship as a king.
The Psalms also repeatedly iterate the challenges and victories God brought His people through.
I wonder how many times their escape from Egypt is recalled, and the mentioning of Passover?

There are none worthy, including the patriarchs, which does not preclude any of them from having the Hand of the Lord on them to be the subject of and/or pen Scripture. David was anointed as a lad, slew a giant warriors feared, unified Israel, sacrificed himself for the good of others, had absolute faith in God... there are pages and pages written on him extolling his virtues! Yes, he sinned. Yes, he is just like us in that way. But in all other ways, or even a majority of them? Surely you can find something admirable? Yes? No?Magenta the problem that I have with David being in the Bible is that he’s just a man like us. So why aren’t we in the Bible ?
I don’t see anything special about this man. There are many men or women like him in history, some are better and some are worst.
‘The only reason I can make peace with this, is that Jesus himself quoted psalms so it means that this is important towards God’s plan.
I dunno. This man pushes me away. Especially with his hate of enemies and what I see as a massive ego.There are none worthy, including the patriarchs, which does not preclude any of them from having the Hand of the Lord on them to be the subject of and/or pen Scripture. God described David as a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.![]()

................................................................................New Living Translation ...............................................PSALM 104
1Let all that I am praise the LORD.
O LORD my God, how great you are!
You are robed with honor and majesty.
2You are dressed in a robe of light.
You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;
3you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds.
You make the clouds your chariot;
you ride upon the wings of the wind.
4The winds are your messengers;
flames of fire are your servants.a
5You placed the world on its foundation
so it would never be moved.
6You clothed the earth with floods of water,
water that covered even the mountains.
7At your command, the water fled;
at the sound of your thunder, it hurried away.
8Mountains rose and valleys sank
to the levels you decreed.
9Then you set a firm boundary for the seas,
so they would never again cover the earth.
10You make springs pour water into the ravines,
so streams gush down from the mountains.
11They provide water for all the animals,
and the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12The birds nest beside the streams
and sing among the branches of the trees.
13You send rain on the mountains from your heavenly home,
and you fill the earth with the fruit of your labor.
14You cause grass to grow for the livestock
and plants for people to use.
You allow them to produce food from the earth—
15wine to make them glad,
olive oil to soothe their skin,
and bread to give them strength.
16The trees of the LORD are well cared for—
the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
17There the birds make their nests,
and the storks make their homes in the cypresses.
18High in the mountains live the wild goats,
and the rocks form a refuge for the hyraxes.b
19You made the moon to mark the seasons,
and the sun knows when to set.
20You send the darkness, and it becomes night,
when all the forest animals prowl about.
21Then the young lions roar for their prey,
stalking the food provided by God.
22At dawn they slink back
into their dens to rest.
23Then people go off to their work,
where they labor until evening.
24O LORD, what a variety of things you have made!
In wisdom you have made them all.
The earth is full of your creatures.
25Here is the ocean, vast and wide,
teeming with life of every kind,
both large and small.
26See the ships sailing along,
and Leviathan,c which you made to play in the sea.
27They all depend on you
to give them food as they need it.
28When you supply it, they gather it.
You open your hand to feed them,
and they are richly satisfied.
29But if you turn away from them, they panic.
When you take away their breath,
they die and turn again to dust.
30When you give them your breath,d life is created,
and you renew the face of the earth.
31May the glory of the LORD continue forever!
The LORD takes pleasure in all he has made!
32The earth trembles at his glance;
the mountains smoke at his touch.
33I will sing to the LORD as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath!
34May all my thoughts be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the LORD.
35Let all sinners vanish from the face of the earth;
let the wicked disappear forever.
Let all that I am praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD!

Hello Tabin, woke up thinking several things but then focus went to this thread and your comments on healing which I not long ago checked and then in a sense mentioned to Linda at an Assemblies of God congregation near me in Evergreen Park, Illinois. I see you were called by God as youngster. Maybe we all are but then get sidetracked.Since you brought to light faith healers like Ken Copeland I must add in a comment or two. Ken and Gloria Copeland hardly ever go to the Drs anymore. Joel Osteen's mother, Dodie, was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer with a tumor the size of an orange and 2 the size of almonds. In 1981 December the Dr told John Osteen her husband that she had a few weeks to live. He looked at the Dr and said 'Dr we believe in miracles' kinda like when Joshua and Caleb said 'yes we can take the giants'. The Osteens went home and prayed and she would quote Scriptures every day. She is alive today at 91yo.
Kenneth Hagin was a bed-ridden boy at 16 diagnosed with 3 fatal diseases by the leading surgeon at the Mayo Clinic and was told 'If one of them don't kill you the other one wil etc'. Well he had a Bible and found Mk 11:23-24 and said 'that's my answer'. 'After quoting 'Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them' months later the Lord told him if he thinks he's healed then get up, and he did. He went on to preach 60+ yrs.
Charles and Frances Hunter could heal cancer by a prayer and there's Smith Wigglesworth who healed and raised the dead a few times. The list goes on of spectacular miracles going on. 'He sent His WORD and healed them', 'By His stripes we ARE healed'.
No offence, but I don't have a problem with faith healers. In fact anyone can do it 'Believers shall lay hands on the sick' and they will recover' Mk 16:18. God bless.

As youngster the tv show 'It takes a thief' was talking to me and maybe the alcohol too and that got me in jail at 16 but my desire to drink got me off the crime track when I got out. My strange way of thinking. See you are Riv as in Riverside Ca., Almost neighbors when I was living Norco, Ca..1988. Now healing.
Maybe the healing God did through those you reference is true but limited. 1 Corinthians is maybe where Bible says about healing gift. Assemblies of God person told me Wigglesworth had that gift but not certain that any have it now. I feel bad for chat member Siddhikoli of Navi Mumbai, india and ask for her healing. At least to be able to deal with her situation. Maybe you could even get gift of healing? Bible verse says 'will I (Jesus) find faith when I return'. Maybe none of us have much faith now. Maybe verses in Mark are only for the person that is asking. My thinking still at times says, 'what are you doing dummy'. But post here is also evidence of God's incredible work!!!! Pray for all God calls. Also pray for enemies Bible says.
Interesting>>>>The radiation Rife is using is at 1.6 MHz. Most treatments people have tried may be of much shorter wavelength. That means much high frequency. Rife may not have realized that some 'harmonic' which he was not aware of was the 'causitive agent'. Rife likely had no spectrum analyzer to see exactly what that 'ray tube' was putting out. More on this later. The fundamental 1.6 MHz may have not been at all a factor.【Curing Cancer】 https://b23.tv/GoB6RA0

1 Corinthians
12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, Governing things, diversities of tongues.
12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
Rifes instruments of 1949 were probably not capable of detecting exactly which 'harmonics' were 'causative agents'. !988 my experience with spectrum analyzers informs me of difficulty obtaining reliable data at high frequencies. My guess is harmonics of short wavelength are 'causative agent'Watch the second part of the video and hope you find the right way to watch it.
