And when I was studying Education at university for my teaching degree, we had a class that taught us how to present lessons. A long lecture lesson was a no no a short pithy lesson was a winner.

Of course any threat that is going to discuss prophecy is going to raise the ire of some posters as they do not believe that the gift is in existence today. Needless to say they choose to ignore the evidence to the fact otherwise but when dogmatism is the basis for your believing what can you do.

it has been said that people are very sincere in their beliefs but they have yet to comprehend that they are sincerely wrong. The idea that if someone has said something then it is right is mythology to the highest degree.

I am so grateful that at Bible College I was taught that you do not make a doctrine out of one verse of scripture, which means I have had to change some of my beliefs and it has forced me to look beyond the first verse that I read on a subject. Which is good because it opens up a bigger understanding of a subject and gives me a better understanding.

And why that may set me at odds with some of the writers here, it does not bother me because the scriptures tells us to show ourselves approved to God (not man).

Even more so when I say that I have spent two years looking into a subject, consulting with well known and accredited teachers of the Word and yet I am still told I am wrong. In a situation like that I know that it is the accusers problem, not mine.

You can desire the greater gifts.

Ask and you will receive.

I do not believe that is contextual. 1 Corinthians chapters 12 through 14 are unit chapters and must be kept in the context of those three chapters.

The verse you used in 1cor 12:31 was not quoted correctly


31 But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

Paul is saying to use the gifts that are needed to get the job done, which is as the Holy Spirit leads one to do so. Desire the gifts, which nes?

The ones needed at the time.


4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

Im still learning about my gifts. And I am verry sincere in all I have confessed about what is happening to me where I'm being taken,
The places the lord is taken me to where many other people have had similar experiences to me like the source from the op..
I have tried to be encouraging as much as i possibly can be and because I get lead that way. I know I do
But theese doubters have really sparked a fight in me to shoot back lately, God has showed me over and over the gifts I have been blessed with, I've just never fully got it until now.

Obadiah hid 100 prophets in caves at one time.

This is just one account but i would imagine the number of prophets for the lord are not accounted for are even higher, as Jezebel was estimated at one time to have many of her own prophets.
I guess we could say the same about Jezabel prophets being even higher.

How do you get rid of a Jezabel spirit if ther following you around trying to kill your gift of prophecy.
I also read that if your ancestors had the gift of prophecy you could be under a generation curse from Jezabel.

I also read that the war between the two sets of prophets has never gone away and the church needs more people to be fully trained if they suspect they have the gift of prophecy.
How do you know what gift you get given of the holy spirit.

What part do the Scriptures have in the prophetic gift in your view? I don't see much about it in your description. I believe it is the prophet or preacher applying the Word to his listeners' lives, and sometimes it involves the future results of their actions.

I take it your talking about warnings ?.

You know all that ever comes out of my mouth is warnings, the amount of people I have been subtle here with a gentle warning to encourage to let go, for seeing an outcome. As been quite high.

But if you want me to provide scripture of subtle warnings the bible is full of them.

But not all actions people take are necessarily worthy of Harsh Judgement, because the wrong Judgement call was made in the first place.
I sometimes have a hard time explaining this.

Because I'm in fear it's going to happen regardless.

Firstly, none of my comments was addressed to you. Secondly, my comments are intended to disabuse the OP of his delusion that there is a "spirit of Jezebel" behind all resistance to prophecy. I'm not addressing non-biblical subjects such as cars at all. I'm not concerned about Spurgeon's sermons. I am concerned about less-learned believers or seekers adopting ideas that have no biblical support and thinking that they are biblically based. I also hope that the OP himself stops believing such tripe and starts interpreting and applying Scripture correctly.

Joram is the son of Ahab and his wife Jezebel, which makes Jezebel Joram's mother. Jehu's statement was literal truth, and does not even remotely support the idea that there is a "spirit of Jezebel".

Why is there a need to be pedantic over this. It's an unclean spirit that mixed with Jezebel and became a she devil.

Who is the author of what you mention that you read this?
Because the bible speaks not about what you claim in the last 2 sektions from your post.

I agree, unfortunately a lot of people are being taken where you're being taken; it's called the great apostacy. It was all foretold. Seems to me a real prophet would realize this.
