Dead that way, they became what we were born being.

Sure. In the day you eat of it you shall surely die...they deserved death.
. They where deserving of something, I know what it is, but I would rather someone else has insight first.
I never claimed differently. The question was what they deserved. And they deserved death.

is how we react to God's essence when God's Spirit draws us...
Yes... They got it when they ate. Spiritual death.... which resulted in eventual physical death.
The Hebrew says that when they ate...
"in dying, you shall die."
Two deaths.
The first one was immediate = spiritual death.
Again, when it happened wasn't the consideration. Neither was the nature of the death. Only what they deserved was under consideration. With that in mind, did they deserve death?
We are not Adam and Eve in an unfallen state. Why don't you tell us what they did to earn God's blessing?
You do understand that something deserved is something earned, don't you?
I'm wondering if you are using the word deserved in another manner.
The only thing that deserves God's blessing is perfect obedience which, is why Christ has been given all things as He is the only one who deserved it. And as we are part of that "all things", the Father saved us because God the Father doesn't give broken gifts.
I'm asking you what else they deserved.
Can you think what that might be.

Right after they gained all knowledge of Good and evil they did something.
