I am especially thankful to God today for food on the table. Wow, we have so much and we take so much for granted 
Yes, we do take so many things for granted. I wrote a blog entry on "gratitude" and it pretty much sums up what you're saying. I think keeping a gratitude notebook is good for keeping track of all the things you're thankful for that God has blessed you with.
