AND WHO ARE YOU, OR ANYONE THAT DECIDES TO JUDGE?? I PRESSUME YOU MUST BE PERFECT FOR YOU TO SEE WHAT'S SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING...ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE USYes, we should. Scripture says to judge according to the Word of God.
It's also important for a young believe in the Lord as you mentioned. Perhaps he/she has been struggling with an addiction and/or the occult. Should we simply shrug it off, or pray with them and carefully consider if it would be a good idea to stop reading, listening, and playing this type of entertainment so they can have some time with God.

Personally I have nothing against Pokemon I used to watch some on TV when I was younger and even played some SNES games
However I liked only the original season and the Johto season
Now there is over 600 pokemon and thats too many for me

Like anything, taken to an extreme, where it takes your 'eyes off the prize', any hobby,
interest, avocation sport, etc. becomes a sort of Idol. But as to imagery and theme, the
same types of concepts of GOOD versus EVIL are found throughout literature and media; Star
Wars, GI Joe, The Lord of the Rings, The Narnia Chronicles, etc.
We make a god of whatever we Worship.
We Worship that which we spend our 1) Time, 2) Money, and 3) Affection on.

over Pokémon have primarily addressed perceived occult and violent themes and the
concept of "Pokémon evolution" (although evolution in Pokemons is more akin to

against the Biblical creation account in Genesis, which the majority of Japanese, not
adhering to Christianity, do not believe in.
The Vatican, however, has countered that the Pokémon trading card game and video
games are "full of inventive imagination" and have no "harmful moral side effects". In
the United Kingdom, the "Christian Power Cards" game was introduced in 1999 by David
Tate who stated, "Some people aren't happy with Pokémon and want an alternative,
others just want Christian games." The game was similar to the Pokémon TCG but used
Biblical figures.
In 1999, Nintendo stopped manufacturing the Japanese version of the "Koga's Ninja
Trick" trading card because it depicted a clockwise swastika, a traditionally Buddhist
symbol with no negative connotations. The Jewish civil rights group Anti-Defamation
League complained because the symbol is the reverse of a swastika, which is considered
offensive to Jewish people. The cards were intended for sale in Japan, but the popularity
of Pokémon led to importation in to the United States with approval from Nintendo.
The Anti-Defamation League understood that the issue symbol was not intended to
offend and acknowledged the sensitivity that Nintendo showed by removing the product.
In 2001, Saudi Arabia banned Pokémon games and cards, alleging that the franchise
promoted Zionism by displaying the Star of David in the trading cards, and involved
gambling, which is in violation of Muslim doctrine. Pokémon has been accused of
promoting materialism.
In 1999, two nine-year-old boys sued Nintendo because they claimed the Pokémon
Trading Card Game caused their problematic gambling.

I think I was like 10 or 11 when the origional Pokemon started. I used to watch the TV show every morning before school. I also collected and traded the cards, but rarely played the card game. I dropped it once they started coming out with new pokemon.... I just recently sold my card collection on EBAY because it was just taking up space. I can't say whether pokemon is evil or not, that is up to the person who is involved in it to decide...

Greece was equally pagan. Whether or not it stems from there is irrelevant.
Regarding cursing, I'm not talking about swearing. (Seen that on a few kids shows too though, lol)
I'm talking about wizardy, spell-casting, and that kind of cursing. It's actually quite prominent in fantasy rpg and Saturday morning television...

Real occult believers can tell you it does work, but christians would argue Jesus covers all of it and it's fake anyway.
When fiction is this close to reality you need to start questioning how far of "the line" you want to cross.
Don't take my word for it or anyone elses. Pray to God, read his Word, and ask him to show you if it is wrong. This particularity important to anyone actually addicted to it.

These are the things we need to be careful of to avoid in all our interactions and
relationships. I don't know if it applies to your casual TV Watcher or Video Game Player,
etc. but anything in extremes (excess) can become a valid concern. Even when our
actions are casual, we may be in, or create a system that leads others astray.
1) Transference (Paternal Transference and Maternal Transference)
Is the redirection of attitudes and emotions towards a substitute. For
example, an employee may see his manager as a father figure (paternal
transference), especially if the employee had a difficult relationship with
his father during childhood.
Typically, the pattern projected onto the other person comes from a
childhood relationship. This may be from an actual person, such a
parent or an idealized figure. This transfers both power and also
expectation. "If you treat me as a parent, I can tell you what to do, but
you will also expect me to care for you." This can have both positive
and negative outcomes.

Projection, also called projective identification, involves the tendency
to see your own unacceptable desires in other people. In other words,
the desires are still there, but they're not your desires anymore. The
objective is to make yourself feel superior.[/SIZE]
An important motive for projection lies in the 'projector's' wish to
control the person who is reminding them of their low self-esteem, or
feelings of inferiority, inadequcy and worthlessness, to prevent him or
her from making the 'projector' feel bad.
Transference vs projection
Transference and projection are not the same thing. Projection is
caused by the transference. Transference is activated in the person
(probably through unmet emotional needs as a child), and projection is
the release of that transference out of the person.

3) Rationalization
When something happens that we find difficult to accept, then we will
make up a logical reason why it has happened.
The target of rationalization is usually something that we have done,
such as being unkind to another person. It may also be used when
something happens independent of us which causes us discomfort,
such as when a friend is unkind to us.
We rationalize to ourselves. We also find it very important to rationalize
to other people, even those we do not know.
Example
A person evades paying taxes and then rationalizes it by talking about
how the government wastes money (and how it is better for people to
keep what they can).
A man buys a expensive car and then tells people his old car was very
unreliable, very unsafe, etc.
4) Idenitification
Identification occurs when a person changes apparent facets of their
personality such that they appear to be more like other people. This
process may be to be copy specific people or it may be to change to an
idealized prototype.
This generally happens as a subconscious process, as opposed to
being a more conscious mimicking, although these processes may
occur together, as the person consciously as well as subconsciously
wants to be like the other person.
Areas of identification may include external elements, such as clothing
and hair styles (which may be chosen without consciously realizing the
influences that are at play) as well as internal factors such as beliefs,
values and attitudes.
Example
A girl dresses like her friends, as much because she likes the garb as
any conscious desire to be like them.
A person in a meeting adopts similar body language to their manager,
and tend to take the same viewpoint.
Two people in a party meet and each finds the other very attractive.
Between them they both adjust their views and postures to be more
similar to one another.

Most mange shows are quite demonic. I used to be apart of that charade (not quite as bad as many nowadays) and quickly learned about how bad it was while still fairly young.

Children are learning to fight, use foul language, talk back, etc. because of shows like this. It happened too many times not to notice or say something about.
He created us wanting us to be fruitful and multiply and to "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6) Letting children practice the ways of Pokemon-like ways will not please him for the times of the Ultimate Judgement

Evolution: What Christian would possibly begin to think that we humans popped out of thin air, a" big bang" even? We already know that evolution is a joke, why promote it to our children with fantasy monsters?
Hypnosis: the mind loses its ability to distinguish between fact and fantasy (truth and error). That can be dangerous because if you can be easily deceived, Satan can and does take advantage of the opportunity. Let me give you one example. Over a five year period, in the late 70's and early 80's, a massive study was done of more than 6,000 people who had undergone hypnosis. It was discovered that one-fifth of those people who had been hypnotized said that they had lived previous lives on other planets. Pokemon are able to hypnotize others at the control of children. I suggest not letting them be apart of controlling one's thought process and physical doings (making others sleep against will)

If only the Lord can read one's mind, why would a parent want a child to be able to think about doing so also?
Yoga: Opens up your spirits to be possessed by another. New age spirits (including Yoga) - Energy healing along with better mental and physical health are offered to the person, when in reality it's only bait to land them in bondage. Again, when a person partakes in Yoga, or seeks energy healing, they are opening themselves up to these spirits.
The media wants children to become subjected to this type of viewing. They want people to think that Christians are crazy for knowing what is right and wrong. Don't act ignorant against the truth.
