Wow...this thread has been quite hilarious.
Lets see Ive played Magic The Gathering since 4th edition which was roughly 1994.
Ive played pokemon red ad blue and watched the show for years.
I loved the Yu-Gi-Oh show up unitl GX started.
ummm i still love transformers in all iterations.(even though ive had christians tell me since theyre aliens, they're evil.
Harry Potter is still a cool guy
oh and I just started a D&D campaign as a special class known as undead hunter(Ranger lvl1 all additional levels in cleric)

im still a perfecting functioning member of society and still a christian regardless of what other forum members may say lol

Pokemon is definitely demonic. That is how satan gets to people who do not understand what satan is trying to do to our children.
 
It is not what the forum members are saying, it is what God is saying that matters.
 
Does it make you evil though? If it doesn't, then it's not bad. It depends on how it affects you IMO, if it doesn't make you a bad person (considering you have a strong mentality) then there's nothing wrong with it. But if it gets really addictive, then it might be something you wanna think about.. God told us not to worship anything and any kind of addiction is a sin. So.. ;)
 
The early films were very profound and beautifully made... if you watch the original Japanese cut of Mewtwo Strikes Back you'll find that God was an underlying reference within it's storyline.

I remember playing Yellow Version: Special Pickachu Edition.

I loved how Pikachu would follow me everywhere and I could never evolve him just like the tv show.

Pokemon Yellow was the best! Specially cuz you could have Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle at the same time. Man I miss being a kid. How many Pokemons do they have now? I only know the first 151.
 
Hey guys, did you all ever read this thread and think, "Hey man, people be trollin'"?

I've seen the conspiracies surrounding pokemon broadcast on three-minute network news channel specials with more coherency. And I think most people are over the whole pocket-DEMONsters thing by now.

I started playing the card game as soon as it arrived in the US (still have some of the 1st editions from that original set around somewhere). I'd played the nintendo game, and I was really good at the card game. It was a fun way to interact with other kids my age while I was home schooled.

I joined a pokemon forum, and we were mostly just kids from all across the US who liked pokemon. I soon became the moderator of the PokeGym's fiction forum. Yeah, that's right, I wrote fanfic. I went under the handle tia3, because I had enough sense not to use my real name at 14. Unfortunately, three years later, one day the forum was there, and the next, everything was gone. All our stories, lost forever. Then, WOTC (i think) picked up the PokeGym, but they didn't reinstate our leadership or our fiction forum.

And if that didn't mess me up, make me possessed, or imbue me with demonic powers, I don't think anything would.

Oh, and a PS: My story was about a boy named Greg who wanted more than anything to train pokemon, but his ailing father needed help at the pokemart. After saving a helpless ratatta, one day, his parents decide it's time to send him off with his new friend. Greg has a particular skill with his pokemon, an empathy for them, and is doing just fine until Officer Jenny comes to Boulder City right after his first badge win and rushes him home moments too late to see his father one last time.

It was totally not demonic. ;)

I got that version on my 10th birthday and still have it 10 years later. I still love it, but its starting to get glitchy T_T

There are well over 600 Pokemon now, with the inception of the 5th Generation (Black and White Version).
