I am very, very sorry to hear this.

Parents are precious and you have told some heart-warming stories about your mom. We know they belong to the Lord, but we still want them around as long as possible.

I will definitely pray for you and your family. 💖

May God bless you and help you feel His presence during this most difficult time. 🙏🏼

She's been diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia.

She's 88, but I'm selfish and would like her to be around for another 5 to 10 years.

However, God's will be done. Pray that I accept His will graciously.

Thanks.

My heart is with you both and will pray fervently for her.
My Mom had cancer too, but survived those ordeals.
I would research the tests that were done to learn if it's possible for false positives, which is very common with a lot of cancer screening.

Then I would provide her a special diet recommended for cancer patients. I can provide information if you want.

Just because she has been given up by an oncologist doesn't mean there's no hope. He knows she probably can't endure the poisons and radiation which is the only thing they offer.
However, the Lord created marvelous botanicals that have been used long before the chemical companies bought a monopoly they call "health care."

Here is the result of a quick search on the subjects of medicinal mushrooms that are sold by the pound without requiring a prescription or permission from anyone except your Mom. I don't know if any would help, but that's what I did on numerous occasions that I won't publicly put online right now. Here's one example.

Our dog was given cancer by my half brother who was told to quit spraying the yard with glysophate because it would give her and my Mom cancer. He insisted until that happened. She developed a large abdominal tumor that was shrunk quickly with my protocol.
She recovered to the joy of me and my Mom.

Coprinus comatus, commonly known as the shaggy mane or lawyer’s wig, contains a protein called Y3 that has shown potent anti-leukemia activity in laboratory studies. Researchers at the University of Florida found that the Y3 protein killed over 90% of human T-cell leukemia cells in vitro by targeting a rare sugar molecule (LDNF) found on cancer cells but not typically in humans. This selective targeting triggers a cascade of enzymes that destroy leukemia cells, offering a promising avenue for treating T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, an aggressive and often recurrent blood cancer.
Other mushrooms also show anti-leukemia potential:
  • Turkey tail (Trametes versicolor): Its polysaccharopeptide (PSP) and polysaccharide-K (PSK) have demonstrated anti-proliferative effects on leukemia cells, with combination therapies showing enhanced potency.
  • Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum): Contains bioactive compounds like ganoderic acids and glycopeptides that induce apoptosis in leukemia cells through mitochondrial and death receptor pathways.
  • Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus): Water extracts induce apoptosis in U937 human monocytic leukemia cells via mitochondrial activation of caspases.
  • Shiitake (Lentinula edodes): Lentinan, a β-glucan, suppresses leukemia cell proliferation and induces cell cycle arrest.
  • Agaricus blazei: Extracts and compounds like agaritine induce DNA fragmentation and caspase activation in leukemic cells.

Jesus made these so you can use them if you wish. I would look up details on each as to administration.

May our Father heal your precious Mom and receive the glory and joy He deserves.

*AHCC is a Shiitake mushroom supplement from Japan.
I used to buy them dried at a local Asian grocery store to use in my recipes. Most of the medicinals are also culinary. However preparation and administration for personal health use is different. This is not instructions, but rather a personal example to show how eating some in a meal is different than using it for a condition.
One person had serious carditis aka heart inflammation, and a dozen chronic, serious cancer symptoms. There was severe internal bleeding and a miracle he did not die.

He then drank a recommended dosage of a certain dried and cut mushroom that was made into a tea. He drank it daily on an empty stomach with no sweetener. There were no harmful side effects (like you get from chemo.) The severe bleeding stopped and cancer symptoms reversed. That was just one personal example, but I hope is encouraging.

Below is a quote from a Brave AI search result.

Reishi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) and *Active Hexose-Correlated Compound (AHCC), derived from mushrooms, show the most promising evidence for treating leukemia, particularly chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
  • Reishi mushroom has demonstrated the ability to induce apoptosis (cell death) in leukemia cells (including HL-60 and U937 lines), inhibit tumor growth, and enhance immune function by boosting natural killer (NK) cells and lymphocytes. It is traditionally used in East Asia and has been studied for its anti-leukemic effects in both lab and animal models.
  • AHCC, a mushroom extract, has shown direct and indirect effectiveness against CLL in recent studies. In vitro and in vivo experiments revealed that AHCC significantly reduced CLL cell viability, induced apoptosis (up to 95% after 7 days), and reduced the number of supportive nurse-like cells (NLCs) in the tumor microenvironment. In mouse models, AHCC-treated mice showed significantly longer survival, and combining AHCC with antibody therapy enhanced treatment outcomes.
Other mushrooms like shiitake (Lentinula edodes), maitake (Grifola frondosa), and turkey tail (Trametes versicolor) also exhibit anti-leukemic properties through immune modulation and direct cytotoxic effects, but evidence for Reishi and AHCC is more specific and robust for leukemia.

I prayed for my mother and was holding her hand at the time , I never prayed so hard in my life , on her behalf , I’m sure it made a difference, I was so blessed after I never grieved for her although I missed her she also was my best friend ! After wards for about a month I only was happy for her knowing she was blessed by the Lord , what a relief! That is ! I will pray for your mother , not to the same degree of course I never met her . But I encourage you to pray earnestly for her ! 🙏🙏

Will be praying for you both Sister !

Thanks so much to you all for prayers and advice. I will take them solemnly!

My Mom has another test to make sure.

@HealthAndHappiness - she's into all that natural stuff so I'll show her your posts for her to consider. She loves to cook so she will try to incorporate this stuff into her cooking.

@jacko - that's a good thing to pray for too. Thanks for reminding me! Now I remember a cancer patient I had that suffered so much from treatment that he finally had it. No more treatment! He just wanted pain-meds and to die peacefully (DNR).

@Eli1 - I live with my Mom so I'm happy about being with her everyday. My sister is visiting us from NYC too, so while she's spending more time with Mom, I can see God trying to draw her too in a big way.

@crmvet - that verse is comforting! My Mom is saved and does a short Bible study and prayer everday with her children. I think God is using that to draw the family individually to Jesus. So far I think it's starting to reach my sister, Don't know about my brother, but he tends to keep his cards close to his chest. My Pop is the hardest to reach, but God has been working through me to make some impact on him. I really hope and pray they will be truly saved. It would be so nice to all be redeemed and to be with each other forever!

If you have the ability to PM, I can share details on the protocol that was effective for my family.

I don't see how cooking would hurt, but I don't know if it will help either. You want to shoot for the best chance to get the benefits.

I'm sorry I don't have the ability to PM. Can you post it anyway?

My Mom will likely pick the ones she can cook or blend into a smoothie!

I think God is using my Mom's ailment to reach my Pop!

Last night my Pop was looking around the living room. When asked what he was doing, he said he was looking for the Bible!

I ran outside to see if pigs were flying! Just joking! But that was pretty earth-shattering.

He's still pretty stubborn but at least he's facing in the right direction. Prayers for everone in my family continues....
