Hello everyone,
I am still in a downward spiral with habitual sins (almost all thought-related, thats how my downward spiral began 2,5 years ago ( thoughts against god, unclean thought and pictures- all while reading bible, book or hearing a sermon which evolved meanwhile in defiant, unwillingness and unbelief additionally to the former ones)

All this has resulted in massive other problems on top

thats why I want to ask you if you could pray for :

real deep repentance and that I will see my sinfulness again more and that I realize how dirty and guilty I am and that I need a saviour. (I dont see this things anymore somehow)

I asked a friend who knows about it a bit and she didnt want to pray for that, she told me along those lines like she rather prays for me to be happy over the fact that I am saved. This frustarated me greatly.
Its my mess, yes, but I need prayer for repentance. Would you support me in your prayers ?
that would be lovely.
Thank you Thank you thank you!!!!!!!! ❤️‍🩹

To a degree your friend is correct. Old affections don't always just melt away. They are often overcome by new and greater affections. Learn to delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart...Psalm 37:4.

This doesn't mean He gives you your current desires. Instead, God fills your heart with holy desires.

are you saved?
good question, I thought so… probably not thats why I am a bit disapointed of my friend who knows to an extent what Im dealing with. The Thoughts came after re-dedicating my life to Jesus but that was 2,5 years ago and bec I didnt fight the fight right everything; Faith, repentance, joy is dying. when I re-dedicated I really thought Im saved now… but dont know now. Dont think so.

ok I see where your coming from…
I try it… but when repentance is deep and real it draws me to God automatically…

Of course. It's a godly sorrow not to be repented of. Sometimes God dries up our affections for Him to allow us to see how much our need for Him actually is. And then He grants us new and greater affections for Him.

It takes a humble heart to admit that.
No better time than the first hour of 2026 to take care of that for certain.

Getting saved isn't a ticket to instantaneous sainthood; you can be saved and still struggle with sin. For example, Paul says in Galatians: "My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you," If you believe, repent and confess, your past sins are all forgiven and you have right standing before God. You will still sin, but spiritual maturity involves sinning less and becoming more like Christ. 1 John 2:1 says: "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." Don't be discouraged; we all sin. If you stumble, get up, dust yourself off and keep going; it's a marathon, not a sprint. I'll certainly pray for you.

Thank you so much, i get that we still sin, but it has become soo hard to obey and so easy to sin. bec its in my thoughts I seem to often… play with sin… its like the evil in me has invaded some land..

I will support you in what you are currently dealing with. I will pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide you in the life-long repentance process and to deliver you from evil.

thank you, watched t and prayed it.
There is a problem with trust too, but I try.

Trust/faith/believing is a matter of informed consent.
It sounds like you know the facts.
Jesus suffered plenty and died for all of our sins past, present and future. Anything people try to do, thinking it helps pay for sin, is an insult to the grace of God at best.
That person remains condemned because they deem God's sacrifice inadequate by continuing to trust their own righteous works.

Now it's an easy matter to stop putting faith in yourself and instead making Jesus Christ the sole object of your faith. That's actually what the term repentance refers to in regards to salvation.

1. The wages of sin is death and the Hell that entails. Romans 6:23kjv. Revelation 21:8 KJV

2. Good works cannot save.
What are some good works?
Baptism, serving the Lord, treating others with the golden rule, giving your life to Christ, turning from sins (obedience to the law), avoiding big sins, trying to do good to outweigh bad, sacraments.
Isaiah 64 tells us
6But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags

Our good works aka righteousness never paid for one sin . It would be absurd and insulting to toss our filthy rags to the cross, wouldn't it?

3. Jesus suffered and died for all sins we ever committed and ever will commit. He was buried and arose on the third day.

He deserves ALL of the glory and credit. If we hold onto confidence in our good works, it's as if we are telling God that His only Begotten Son didn't do enough, so we have to trust our own good works too.

The word faith and believe are the same.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Before someone can be saved, they have to see the fact that they are condemned and no good works can save us.
We know for a fact that God the Father sent His only Begotten Son to suffer and die for all our sins.
Then you change your mind, and decide that you are now putting your trust, Not in self, but 100% in Jesus Christ to save you. It's as easy as that.
Then there are many promises that God will never leave you or forsake you. You are saved forever. Everlasting Life is the gift He paid for that never ends or is taken back. God is not an Indian giver.

If that makes sense then I will lead you in prayer to receive the free gift.

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for revealing to me my guilty and condemnation.
Thank you for suffering for all my sins so I don't have to go to hell to suffer.
I believe that You really did die on the cross for me, paying for them all. Your body was in the tomb three days and you arose back to life.
I now receive Your free gift of everlasting Life by faith in You alone. I know that You will keep Your promise and take me to Heaven when I die.
Thank You for saving me Jesus!

Amen

I John 5
11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

These are words to a song.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of his glory and grace.

Sometimes we tend to look at the wrong things, like focusing on ourselves when we really need to focus on Jesus.

I have said a prayer for you and your repentance.
