So there's this awesome symmetry...(God is just incredible)

Through the lamb
God rescues the Israelites
from slavery to Pharaoh

Through Jesus
God rescues the world
from slavery to sin and death

This then has me wondering if the 10 plagues of Egypt foreshadow the plagues/trials of the final tribulation.

Thoughts my Christian brothers and sisters?

Exactly Correct!

The "Two Witnesses" of Revelation 11:1-15 will be exactly the same as Moses/Aaron standing against Pharoh of Egypt, and yes the Hebrews were (Protected)

Yes the church will be present on earth and divinely protected.

All plagues as often as the will, and they are representing Jesus Christ on earth "Wow"!

I believe the "Two Witnesses" will be Enoch/Elijah who never experienced physical death.

Revelation 11:3-6KJV
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

At the final hours of the Earth's temptation, the church is instructed to enter their dwellings and shut the door, until the indignation is past as seen below.

A Remake of The Passover In Egypt!

Isaiah 26:20-21KJV
20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Not the final tribulation -- which is the Great Tribulation (the 7th trumpet within the 7th seal).

Before that we see the Tribulation during the reign of the Antichrist (for 3 1/2 years), and those plagues do occur during that time.

These [two prophets, Moses and Elijah] have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. (Rev 11:6)

My favorite OT Bible stories (by far :D) encompass the breadth from the calling of Abraham to the exodus out of Egypt :)

False

Revelation 16 shows the plagues in vials, with the 7th vial being the end

(It Is Done)!

Revelation 16
And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

We are living today in the midst of a plague sent by the Lord as everyone wears a mask to protect themselves from the plague, but man is not reacting to it as the people in scripture reacted.

In scripture they knew it was the Lord who sent the plague, today people don't think that. They are taking physical actions to control it and that is good, but ignoring listening for why God sent the plague and what spiritual steps to take to control it.

The GT was over ca 2000 years ago accomplishing God’s goal then. Such a terrible thing will not happen again. The plagues, I understand, were associated with the gods of Egypt. That doesn’t apply now in any case.

The whole of Revelation is forshadowed in the OT. Many people cant understand Revelation properly because they hav'nt studied the OT fully or understood how the Bible interprets itself. John was steeped in OT scripture. The Holy Spirit guided him as to what to write. Jesus spoke about having old and new treasure. The average Christian today wouldnt be able to write scripture like Revelation

The plagues and miraculous signs of Egypt parallel the miraculous signs Jesus performed during his ministry.

The 10 plagues (miraculous signs and wonders) happened before God brought Israel out of slavery from Egypt

Jesus performed many signs and wonders before he died and rose again, thus they also happened before he saved his people from slavery to sin and death.

Good day, TJWest!

"For then there will be great tribulation, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened."

Though there are some similarities with the plagues of Egypt, the coming seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will be plagues of wrath that will be unequaled from anything that has previously taken place and never to be equaled again. With just the 4th seal and 6th trumpet (a fourth and a third), over half the earths population will have been decimated within the first 3 1/2 years. And that is not including the fatalities that will result from trumpets 1, 2 and 3, nor from the seven bowl judgments.

In the scripture above, Jesus reveals the severity of those plagues when He says that if those days were allowed to go on any longer, no one would be left alive.

Really?

2nd seal/red horse = Peace taken from the earth so that men kill each other

3rd seal/black horse = World-wide famine

4th seal/pale green horse = Death and Hades personified are given authority to kill a fourth of the earth
======================================================

1st Trumpet = a third of the earth and trees burned up

2nd Trumpet = a third of the creatures in the sea killed and a third of the ships destroyed

3rd Trumpet = a third of the rivers and fresh drinking water contaiminated so that many die from drinking it

4th Trumpet = the sun, moon and stars darkened by a third so that the earth will receive a third less light night and day

5th Trumpet/1st woe = Demonic beings resembling locusts being released from the Abyss to torment with stings like scorpions

6th Trumpet/2nd woe = a third of the inhabitants of the earth killed by four evil angels and their demonic army of 200 million

7th Trumpet/3rd woe = Satan and his angels cast out of heaven and restricted to the earth
====================================================

1st Bowl = An ugly painful sore breaks out on those who worship the image of the beast and receive his mark

2nd Bowl = the ocean turned into literal blood killing all of the creatures in the sea

3rd Bowl = All rivers and fresh water turned to blood, which means no drinking water

4th Bowl = Sun is given power to scorch the inhabitants of the earth with fire, searing them with intense heat

6th Bowl = Demonic being go throughout to gather the kings of the earth to battle at Armageddon

7th Bowl = Greatest earthquake (world-wide) to ever take place on the earth since men have been on it. So great that the cities of the nations collapse, the mountains will not be found and the islands will disappear.

==================================================

Based on the information above, I can assure you that the great tribulation has not yet taken place. The tribulation/great tribulation period is meant to bring this current age to its end where the inhabitants of the earth will see Jesus arriving on the clouds of heaven and which will usher in the millennial kingdom.

The only way that you can justify the above plagues of wrath as already taking place 2000 years ago, would be to distort the literal meanings of those plagues, i.e. to water them down. However, those seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will literally take place just as they are written and therefore could not by any means have taken place.

Those who believe that the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments have already taken place have no idea of the severity of what is quickly going to come upon this earth. By the time the Lord returns to the earth to end the age, which will be after the 7th bowl judgment, the majority of the population of the earth will have been decimated and all human government dismantled. (Dan.2:31-35, Matt.24:15)

I would offer. Ten in multiples of hundreds, thousands etc. represents a whole or all the plagues as a unknown. The Jews that walked by faith knowing the 400 year tribulation spoken to Abraham had come to a end.

So God used signs and or with wonders to physically move out of his way those who opposed the gospel . Killed all the first born, animals and mankind alike and established a living trial in the wilderness . using 4 (universal suffering or tribulation ) ten times . 40

Moving through the nations in the wilderness who knew not God the Jews represented the gospel . reaching the promised land to signify the new heaven and earth they again were used as the temple of God. Not made with human hands. The same temple that dwelt in Egypt during the 400 year tribulation.

It set up the first born doctrine witnessed by the circumcisions was revealed at the renting of the veil .

Again and again against the Pharaoh was used to represent the father of lies. That heart remined hard .Not being subject to gospel of rest.

The Great Tribulation of Mat 24 was the siege of Jerusalem by Titus in 70 AD. That is what the entire chapter was about. All of that was fulfilled. Jesus uses a woman's labor and delivery as the analogy of what Israel was soon going to go through as a consequence of rejecting their Messiah. They would first have beginnings of birth pangs, then labor and delivery. None of what Jesus discusses in Mat 24 applies to us. He was speaking of His generation, that wicked, perverse and adulterous generation of His day and the Wrath He would bring to those who did not believe in Him. But yes, the plagues of Egypt were eerily similar to what was poured out upon that wicked generation.
