Wood Lily, this is the wild equivalent to the domestic Tiger Lily.
Ceder Waxwing, hunting insects. I thought that was strange but they really were, like a fly catcher.
Norther Bronze Darter. Don't ask me why they don't call it a Dragonfly. I don't know
Great Gray Owl. Our largest Owl and a frequent visitor in winter around here.

Hi fellow pohotgrapher. Not fellow as in male! Birds are my favorite but I like all nature. I like to learn about, watch, photograph and as much as possible, share space with all wildlife. I like to call myself a nature nut.
The complexity, the beauty, the verity of God's creation simply amazes me.
All of my those photos were taken close to my home, in Hawk Hills Alberta Canada. That's in the northwest of the country.
We are about 600 km north of the capital of the Province, Edmonton.
I had a bunch of photos on Google Earth but the site that hosts them is owned by google and if you open a new account with any of their services they delete your old account and all photos uploaded through that account. I didn't know that and opened an account with a site that I didn't know belonged to google.
They deleted all of my Google Earth photos because of the new account. I liked having them there because it allowed people to see exactly where my photos were taken.
All my photos are of wild birds and animals. None are in a zoo or in any way captive. Only the Birds at my feeders and the Deer that frequent my yard are in any way habituated to people.
I use a Cannon XSI with a Cannon 100 - 400 lens. I have a Manfrotto tripod, a 2x teleconverter and a remote release but no other special equipment.
I do plan on building a floating blind to use to get close to birds on some of the local water bodies but right now I am in the process of starting my first business so I don't have the time or resources, yet.
I do photography where ever I go but I don't travel a lot. I've made a couple of trips south into prairie country in the past couple of years and two to Prince Rupert on the Pacific coast, plus a few to the Mountains of British Columbia. Two years ago I made one trip to Ontario in central Canada but all told I suspect 90 percent of my photos are taken within 100 miles of my home and probably 60 percent within ten miles.

Yeah, I like to take nature pics more than anything, but I do also like food photography and travel photography. I'd be mad about the Google Earth thing :/ There's quite a bit of deer around where I live. I've posted a few deer pics on here, but I don't remember what pages they're on at this point
I don't use much equipment most of the time either. I don't even know what a teleconverter is, lol. What I use on most days is my Fujifilm (SL300) camera, my Samsung tablet (depending on the kind of shot I need or effect I'm going for), and some extra batteries in case the one in my camera dies (which is likely to happen lol). I only really use my tripod for self-shoots (not to be confused with selfies, which I just use my tablet and no tripod for) and fireworks. I have lighting equipment, but I only use that for product photography nowadays. I like to use natural light for as much as I can.Do you like editing your photos? I know a lot of people who love taking pictures, but hate the editing phase. I actually love both phases. Sometimes I take a picture with how I'll edit it/what I'll use it for in mind. Other times I see that afterwards.
I don't travel far a lot either. When I do travel, it's usually a road trip, so I take pictures from the car/bus too (gotta love window seats!). But I also take a lot of pictures at home and in my neighborhood.
Today I'll add a few of my most recent photos.
I could fill dozens of pages with my photos but that wouldn't be fair so this will be my last contribution. At least for a while.

I don't know what happened to it but it looked completely healed and relatively healthy and it seemed to have no trouble getting around.

Not the best photo I've taken but it was such a rare opportunity I had to take what I could get.
Pronghorn Antelope, - Provost Alberta Canada.
Locals call them Speed Goats because they can reach speed of 55 miles per hour for short distances. And maintain a speed of 35 miles per hour for miles.
Incoming. Speckle Bellied Geese landing in a field for an evening feed. - Hawk Hills, Alberta Canada.
Thousands of Geese come through here every spring and fall.
Lazy Bear. - Hawk Hills, Alberta, Canada.
This is a brown bear, a color variation of the Black Bear, not a different species.

I'm not happy about the google earth thing but not much I can do about it, aside from not posting any more there.
flickr allows geotagging so the location can be seen on those photos I have geotagged in flickr. It's just not as handy a google earth was.
I've done a few weddings but don't like doing them. Other then that anything goes. So far the only food items I have photographed are wild foods we've collected such as mushrooms and berries.
I only edit my photos to remove unwanted background or objects and then only the minimum necessary. I do however shoot in RAW format so I have to convert my photos to .jpg to post them and I have to resize to a smaller overall size for bandwidth consideration. In as much as is possible I do as little editing as possible to achieve the desired results. Namely, compact enough for the intended use and uncluttered as possible.

I have another class of photos I don't normally post online. Photos of sick or injured wildlife. Again, to me that is part of life and nature but I know it bothers some folks so I don't post them either.
