If I visit the Philippines, is it true I have to share my motorcycle with an entire family?

:) :) :)

hahaha..this is not applicable in the City of philippines they'll get caught by the police..but some parts of the our provinces..

they call that kind of transportation here in philippines as "skylab" (heard it over from my Boss, and i don't know why they called it as it is called LOL)

Ate Conz is right and you can see and have a ride on that mostly on the countryside, Kuya Max.

Here's an actual picture of Skylab.
I think the motorcycle looks safer!
:)
When you fall off a motorcycle and plummet to earth...
it's a much shorter drop.
: )

Hey Little Brother, no doubt the Filipino version of Skylab IS both safer and more affordable, lol.
:)

Alright, serious question now.
Is the normal habal habal found only in the provinces, or in the cities too?

(I'm talking about the motorcycles that just have a really long seat, and hold several passengers.)

Mostly in provinces kuya Max but there are cities here in PHL that are hilly and the only way is to ride a habal-habal (the ordinary one). The one in the picture is a modified (showing again the Filipinos innovative mind LOL) and is a no-no in the city, only in provinces.

During typhoon season, when it floods,
can I cruise down the streets like this?
:)

I remember the Jeepneys :).

Filipinos are very resourceful and also wanted to modify things :) in order to make things easier like in our provinces...

Yeah yeah, we're resourceful, but our trusty Jeepneys have been around for a couple centuries. We should start making blueprints for more comfortable methods of transportation. -__-

Something with air conditioning. ^._.^
