Did Peter lie in his Acts vision when he said he had never eaten unclean animals?
Act 10:13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
Act 10:14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Act 10:15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Act 10:16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Peter said Lord I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
But the Lord did not rebuke him.
Gal 2:11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
Gal 2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
Peter erred here.
So he may have erred from time to time but obeying the dietary laws seems like it would be easy and Peter was zealous to keep it.
I know some people cannot believe that someone can pull it off being obedient all the time.
Was Peter going to lie to the Lord and He is going to think its alright.
Peter knows that the Lord knows everything so why would he think he could lie to the Lord.
The woman at the well said she did not have a husband and Jesus said you have had 5 husbands, and who she was living with is not her husband.
The rich man said what must he do to inherit eternal life and Jesus said obey the 6 commandments that have to do with not offending someone.
The rich man said he obeyed them from his youth but Jesus did not rebuke him.
Did the rich man really obey them from youth.
It appears as if he did if he wanted to know how to inherit eternal life and Jesus said keep those 6 commandments and he said he kept them from youth and Jesus did not rebuke.
And Jesus said but you lack one thing testifying he kept the 6 commandments for he did not lack there which is to sell all and give to the poor.
I do not think Peter was lying about keeping the dietary laws.
