The Boy Who Cried Wolf
There once was a shepherd to a flock of sheep
One day, he was bored and seeking attention, so he tricked the villagers into thinking there was a wolf by crying out, "wolf! wolf!"
The villagers came and discovered that there was no wolf and that the sheep were just fine.
Another day, the boy was bored and seeking attention, so again, he cried out, "Wolf! wolf!" The villagers came to see if there was a wolf, and again, still no wolf.
Days go by, but this time, a real wolf came. The boy cried out, "wolf! wolf!" but this time, no villagers came to rescue the boy. All of the sheep were eaten, including that shepherd boy.
This parable teaches children that it is not okay to lie because if you lose people's trust, you can die.
