I read a Crazy Rich Asians knock off called 'Lucie Yu is not a romantic'
Its about a Miranda (but really from Singapore) rich lawyer type who gets knocked up deliberately on a co-parenting site. Then throws a hissy fit because her ex fiance comes back to woo her with her favourite hawker food and brand name furniture.
She must decide! Between her very kind nut allergic co-parent or her smarmy abusive ex. Who she used to love! What a dilemma. Cos now she thinks she loves her no-nuts man. After all they made a baby together.

I wasnt impressed. But then Rachel and Leah and Bilhah and Zilpah actually made FIVE including Jacob.

I wonder what actually happened to the first spouses of Mr brady and his second wife. Did they both die? Or were they divorced?
How convenient...did it say how they both died? Was it a conspiracy? Seems a bit suss.
The cause of death was not disclosed. Some sort of coverup was perpetuated apparently. Some say Alice was hot in a quirky way. She was probably paid under the table to avoid taxes.
There was no mention about her family. She and Sam the butcher had something going though in a somewhat romantic sense.
I only ever saw the movie knock off. I thought it was hilarious. I never lived in the 70s though am not sure what it was really like, except for those bad, bad fashions, like flares. That tried but failed to make a comeback.
Apparently the number one paperback at the moment is Colleen Hoover 'It ends with us' and is basically about a love triangle ...again. The blurb sounded like a recycled plot to me. Two guys and one girl and the gal has to choose. Why not have both? Because the two guys dont like each other right so they fight to the death. But they both like the girl. Makes sense, no?
Probably makes sense to the guys fighting over the girl. If you go to YouTube you can probably see episodes of the original Brady Bunch.

why cant both share or take turns?
if men can have more than one wife why cant women have more than one husband? The women at the well had five husbands. Im just thinking human polygamy is more normal than you think and monogamy is really the exception that not many can live up to. I mean people here seem to marry more than once.
As for Brady Bunch obviously that is second marriage for both spouses. And if one dies or divorces or both there will probably be a third.

Im just thinking how rotten but then she died and he married Camilla. And Camillas husband was having it off with several women too, womanising like it was normal. And Diana went and had affairs too. I mean...?!
What is wrong with these people or are they just humans who cant say what they mean.

The winner is the one that gets pregnant with an heir? Or is the winner the one that gets to hold the husbands or lovers hand when he dies. I dont know about this.

I haven't read it (yet). My sister has a copy which she may possibly lend me when she visits. I don't think she actually reads books, maybe one a year, so was a bit surprised when she said she bought a copy.
I'm now reading Red Comet the short life and blazing art of Sylvia Plath
I didn't know she was a painter as well as a poet. She wrote confessional poetry and a fictionalised memoir called The Bell Jar about her mental breakdown in the 1950s.
