If she loses you as a friend because of her addiction she may need another friend to lean on a little bit.
I gave her a houseplant (for fresh air) and a coluring book and pencils. All artists suffer for their art...you might as well make art out of it.
her other friend gave her a journal. We celebrated her birthday with pizza she only left once in the end to vape outside the restaurant.

I believe, from what you have posted thus far, that the smoking and vaping is a wedge issue driving you two apart.
In that instance perhaps you should social distance from her until the smoke clears. Oh, I'm not really a wise one.
My wife is a SDA. I have attended many Sabbath services. They love their bible and they love Jesus. Believe in the Trinity. Nice peeps. I love pizza - pepperoni, banana peppers, mushrooms, sausage. Good stuff.
No, they are not a cult. They don't follow a leader or anyone but rather follow the bible.

I've had a lot of experience with the local Adventists...7th Day Adventists that is.
They will take a week of classes to convince your friend that YOU and every other church is a cult that has taken the Mark of the Beast.

Like the 7th Day Adventists, the Moonies like to conceal their name behind other things. It's often hard to find out what church is sponsoring or represented by their mailings and prophesy adds of the Adventists. . It sounds like you are familiar with the Moonies. I talked to them once and they wouldn't tell me who they were. Then they found out what I was interested in. "Oh BTW, we are having a class on self defense/ martial arts tonight. It's free, why don't you come join us?"
I show up and another gullible sucker and they are telling us that Jesus, Moses, Mahamad, Buddha, Sun Yung Moon are all the same person reincarnated....blah blah blah.
Needless to say, I left after giving a piece of my mind.

I think...this was several years ago now, and my friend was hanging round university cos they like to recruit students, she was inviting me to this sushi making event or something but I really didnt want to go in town to join in with a bunch of strangers who seemed to be love bombing my friend.
