What you preach is the Jimmy Swaggart gospel, a corruption of the real thing. It is an inappropriate emphasis on the cross and an inadequate emphasis on Jesus. Your insult is both pathetic and irrelevant. This is why Paul said, "We preach Christ Crucified (1 Cor. 1:23)." He also said, "For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him Crucified." 1 Corinthians 2:2 / The self righteous think it is the Jimmy Swaggart gospel.
Holiness and Sanctification are actually the same thing. Our holiness is obtained by faith and trust in Christ and what He did at the Cross. Without such Faith, there is no holiness, and there is no Salvation.
The gospel remains to be the only avenue through which Righteousness is revealed and experienced (Romans 1:16-17), and without the experience of Righteousness there is no Holiness, and without Holiness, no one can see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
When the Believer is proclaiming Christ while forsaking the Cross, this is a form of godliness because they are rejecting the power which is the Cross of Christ (1 Cor. 1:18). Because of the flesh, the Cross of Christ is an offence to most Believers after salvation. Therefore, grace stops and sin begins to much more abound.
I have felt the presence, but my own experience with tongues came long after I was born again. Some come up in a very conservative background where the Spirit is not emphasized. I do like your preaching. I enjoy both Swaggert and Stanley, despite their differences on secondary issues.Have you receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues?
How can one emphasize the Cross without emphasizing Jesus? It is an inappropriate emphasis on the cross and an inadequate emphasis on Jesus
Polar oppositesIs there a difference between being ordained by God and being ordained of men?
He manages. The very fact that he capitalizes "cross" is a flag. The cross is nothing but the means of execution; the One who died on it is everything. When I have challenged him on it, he has not responded with rational explanations or plain Scripture, but with dodging, repetitious quotations from Swaggart commentary on Scripture, ignoring, or insults and claims that I'm not saved. I have been unable to discern any Christian character, and very little in the way of personality, on his part. How can one emphasize the Cross without emphasizing Jesus?

How do you define it and how important is it in relation to speaking to assembled groups of God's people or to the unsaved? Is it something we should all seek? Is there a difference between being ordained by God and being ordained of men?
I think one thing we have been missing is leaders being grown from within the church. Are they any less qualified to lead the flock than a man who is ordained by some institution who does not know the people?God's way vs. man's way. That is what I wonder about. Should it be done by the Lot? Should one keep silence if not ordained?
I have come to the point I just skip over anything he says sadlyWhat does any of this have to do with the thread topic of ordination?
Absolutely. Ordination -- as generally practiced -- is not the same as being ordained by God.
The gifts and calling of God should be the primary requisite. Also creating a division between clergy and laity is not supported by Scripture. Particularly when the clergy are given certain powers over and above the priesthood of believers.

When we simply place our faith in Christ and His victory afforded by the Cross-and I speak of victory as it regards our everyday walk before God-the Holy Spirit then steps in with His power, and victory is assured. I believe both is true, a person can be favoured by men or ordained by God, for example, i believe i was called to be an evangelist, but pastors at my church wanted me to be a church assistant. I am an evangelist but i do the works of an assistant and support the church and people like one, even though i am not one by title. I love my job and take great pride for the ability that Jesus gave to me, and if i received no reward for my efforts i would be just as happy. My brother said the same thing, he is not in faith anymore, he is an atheist. How do you define it and how important is it in relation to speaking to assembled groups of God's people or to the unsaved?
