The Word was God...the Jesus they see and preached is the man.
The name immanuel is a meaning...
Look up biblical names and you will see what i mean.
Yes, Immanuel/Emmanuel is a meaning. "God with us". It does not get more clear when God named Himself that when He was to be born here as our Messiah.

I'll go with what Loco is saying, since you refuse to answer and dodge a very simple question that has already been given with the Biblical answer.
God help you.

An example of name...with meaning..
Gen 16:11 KJV And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
Did this also mean...ishmael is God?

That is what i mean with name as meaning...i asked you to look it up..for you yourselves to understand.

. It doesn't matter how good a person or body of persons are if they deny Christ.
Here i give example:
Jud 1:1-4 KJV 1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: 2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Denying the ONLY Lord God (vs1 the Father), and our Lord Jesus Christ...
Lord God....and our Lord Jesus Christ..

Let us discuss hebrews 1:

God The father and Christ the Son
vs.1 -2 God Talked Through Son
God appoint , Son appointed

vs.3 God Invisible , Son express image of invisible
vs. 4 God always God , Son made better than angels and more excellent name than angels
vs. 5 God Father , son begotten by Father
vs. 6-7 God angels worship , God command angels to worship Son
vs 8-9 God anoint , Son anointed.....
I hope you get the point...In hebrews 1 if you changed "God" too Father...you will see it clearly.
...and what we have that cannot be changed is that Christ IS DEITY.
If he is,then no human reasoning can disenfranchise that fact.

We walk by faith.
I don't have to know every dynamic to walk with Him and agree with the word.

You are attempting the opposite. You want to ingest only what you can mentally pidgeon hole

You stumble big time over the father saying to the son "thy throne o GOD is for ever and ever"

In Isaiah Jesus is called
THE EVERLASTING FATHER.

Your soft shoe dance is similar to watchtower.
They get craftier every year with new meanings to "christian understanding" verses

seems likely that the watchtower is heavily involved in this theology..

You are not reading the verse with its context...
I have showed you from verse 1-7.
When it talked of God...it is relating to the Father...
So this statement..your throne o God....
Is referring to the Father...
Your throne o Father..

Therefore..Father...your Father has anointed you...

I don't think you are going to get on the same page with anyone here.
Most have settled the triune God dynamic.
Triune God...
Here is an example:
A person....is tall, With curly hair..he played basketball, he also is a gardener...he made guitar and he saved a kid drowning.

This is HOW little we Know of GoD.
If some said he is tall..we said its. him.
When we saw someone played basketball.. we say its him.
When we saw saomeone save a kid..oh ots definitely him...

But here comes the Son...and said..this is the one True God...

I will believe the Son...rather than someone who say..something not in the Bible...the Son knows more about God than we do...
