Respond to post 956 first, what is it that you object to?Just answer my question.
Do I need to be baptised in water to be saved?
Yes or no?

You are free to your own opinion, of course, but given your "understanding" of the verses you've quoted, which DON'T say or mean what you ascribe to them, my opinion is that your reading or comprehension skills are needy. You are an arrogant and insulting person.
So it is an insult to question one's reading/comprehension skills?Instead of responding to the verses on repenting and being baptized for the remission of sins you turn to spitting out insults.
I think you don't like being corrected. We can hear what kind of spirit you are.
I'd say that arrogance and a haughty way is what leads to not like being corrected.Pride, arrogance, a haughty way is something that every believer should deal with. We all need to repent of pride and immersed into the word of God to wash this stain away.
The words you share don't say or mean what you think they mean. The words I shared were the words of the Lord Jesus and the apostle's fellowship.
No, I'm trying to challenge you to realize that you aren't understanding the verses you have been quoting. If you do not consent to those words and the doctrine that is according to godliness then that also is evidence of pride. You are trying to get strife, railings and evil surmisings.
You did share verses. But you did not provide any verse that SAYS what you SAY.I will not have anything to do with your perverse disputings. I have shared the verses that you asked for.
Salvation is a complex issue.Just answer my question.
Do I need to be baptised in water to be saved?
Yes or no?
Yes or no?Salvation is a complex issue.
For example, was Paul saved when he wrote Philippians 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
because why is he saying that preaching and disputes will work out to his salvation if he is already saved?
Also what about the believers in Philippi, were they saved? If so why does Paul write this:
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
The deceitful teachers will try to make it sound like salvation is a once for all thing that happens when you first come to the Lord. If that is the case then this verse by Paul makes no sense,
1Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Why would you hope for something you already have, and why would he tell you that we have been appointed to obtain salvation in the future if we have already obtained it?
So don't allow anyone to tell you this is a simple yes or no question about what happened 20 or 30 years ago. There is clearly much more to it than that.
2Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
We have been chosen to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. There are two aspects here, you must believe, and you must be immersed into the Spirit. Hence, believe and be baptized and you will be saved.
So then there is one very key principle: Jesus is Lord.
Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
If you want to be saved you must obey Jesus. It is simple. You must obey the gospel of your salvation. You must obey the apostle's fellowship. It is a process that takes a lifetime. Yes our initial experience of believing the truth is a salvation experience. But every single experience we have of obeying the Lord Jesus is a salvation experience. Every moment that we are immersed into the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is a sanctifying experience.
1Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Let's be clear, the end of our faith is the salvation of our souls. We don't begin the Christian life with the salvation of our souls. That salvation experience is in our spirit and if you let that seed grow and spread it will spread to your soul.
Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
This is what is going on in this thread. We want to talk about salvation and yet it is needful to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered.
You have not answered any of my questions. Which Bible verse that I have referenced concerning salvation do you object to?Yes or no?
Salvation is not a complex issue.
Jesus never made it complex.
You are making it complex.
What did Jesus say that we need to do in order to be saved?
Does he say we must be baptised to be saved?
No, it is not.Salvation is a complex issue.
The Greek word for "salvation" means "to deliver/rescue/save from some danger". Here, of course Paul was saved. He was writing as an apostle. He was referring to deliverance of some kind. For example, was Paul saved when he wrote Philippians 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
because why is he saying that preaching and disputes will work out to his salvation if he is already saved?
Yes, for the same reason as above. In fact, here Paul is referring to progressive sanctification, or spiritual growth. Also what about the believers in Philippi, were they saved? If so why does Paul write this:
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
The Lord Himself taught that. Why would you call the Lord a "deceitful teacher".The deceitful teachers will try to make it sound like salvation is a once for all thing that happens when you first come to the Lord.
You have not answered any of my questions. Which Bible verse that I have referenced concerning salvation do you object to?
No, it is not.

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
2 Tim 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 1:5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:9 obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.
2 Thess 2:13 But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.
Eternal Life:
John 3:15-16 15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. 16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
John 5:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
John 6:40 "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."
John 6:47 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
1 Tim 1:16 Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
Gal 3:22 But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 Cor 1:21 - For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

Read John 3:15,16, 5:24, 6:40, 47.
??????????Acts 22:16 "And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord."
This is what Jesus saidWhat did Jesus say that we need to do in order to be saved?
Does he say we must be baptised to be saved?
I have already answered that question in clear black and white language, it is insulting to ignore what I have written.Being baptized in order for the remissions of to be saved.
You posted
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
So please go back to my responses to you.
I asked you that if you are not baptised before you die then are your sins not remissed and therefore you are not saved.
??????????
Does that save us?
Typical of youYou don't know? I'm not the one who can answer that question for you.
Good response bro.I know, I'm terrible.
