Your model is wrong. The cross changed everything. Since the cross, things have gotten lightyears better. God is not dealing with His people in judgment as the days of the judges. He deals with His people according to grace....an abundant and unwavering grace. It doesn't mean there isn't chastening, but Jesus is building His church, no obstacles can hinder this, and the world is moving forward towards a time when the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ. Is it going gradually and more slowly than I'd like? Yes. But it is occurring. The first 4000 years little progress was made. But the last 2000 years, and particularly the last 500, have had human progress like nothing before. There are more Christians in the world today than ever before.
Why has this occurred? Because Jesus is doing exactly what He said He would do: He is destroying the works of the devil. And this will continue until all is restored and the knowledge of the glory of the Lord fills the earth. Hallelujah.
Thanks. I completely disagree, but I do appreciate the clarification.

I'm saying way more than that.
Is it possible they happen twice?

God offered the Messiah to the Jews. They rejected Him, and suffered their tribulation for it.

God then offers the Christ to the world. The world is rejecting Him, and will suffer it's tribulation for it.

God's word is eternal. One manifestation does not render it moot.

It couldn't. Understanding why it came the 1st time goes a long way to figuring out if it will come again. Since what happened 1st century was the result of sanctions being implemented against Israel for their failure to keep the terms of the old covenant, and since we live under a covenant of grace whose only stipulation is belief, why would it?

That's all He does.

Jesus went about suggesting how people should live.

But He NEVER petitioned Rome to codify His teachings.

He NEVER forced anyone to live His teachings.

He said, here is w
Unrepentant America, wow what country has repented and from what?

What does America have to repent of?
Did you just skip the entire old testament in Sunday school?

Does the name Nineveh ring a bell?

Israel?

But it's ok to use juvenile rightist hate monger slurs to attack anyone who doesn't support trump.
Don't be too hard on them. They've got a rough road ahead. If they are truly His, He will open their eyes eventually.

Amazing how people take a message and blow it completely out of context.
I never said either Trump or Harris would "save America".
I don't expect to either jump up and down with excitement, yelling "my candidate won! Hooray!" or cry in the corner needing a "safe place" with therapy animals, playdoh, and soft music.

The point was straight out of the Bible - you remember the Bible, right? - we are to submit to the higher powers regardless.
If we do that, we're obedient to God's Word and whatever judgment comes from the elected (or installed) leader that goes against God's commandments will fall on them, which is also why we are to PRAY for our leaders, whoever they are.

How can any of you professing to be Christians argue with that?
You ain't seen nothing yet.

We have some real professionals here who can take anything you say and twist it to look like you are the Antichrist, or at least not a real Christian, in other words not somebody who measures up to their idea of what Christian should be.

Some people here could take a statement like, "I think dogs are nice" and make it look like you are the most evil person ever. You dog lover, you.

Obviously it wasn't about in the OT.

Does today ring a bell.

God does not change. He is the same today as He was yesterday.
I don't see many individuals repenting these days either, it does not mean God no longer requires repentance.

So you believe there should be a national repentance in America?

Be wary of those who pretend to hold self righteous indignation regarding America.
Especially when they aren't citizens here.

National repentance. As if in their view all 300+ million Americans should drop to their knees and ask God's pardon.

Absurd. Yet,in their way of posting they think that is one missing characteristic that makes America a bad country.

But...they live here?
Don't bet on it.

They label Trump the man of sin.
Therein playing God with that calculated slur meant to condemn Trump as a tool of Satan.

Hatred. That is their sin.

We will never ever change that mind set. They are anti-America trolls. They are haters. They use the Bible as a cover for their sin and yet they are openly unrepentant slanderers , enemies of America and Americans, and hate mongers.

Kamala Harris is too. She would have destroyed this country had she entered the office where she would have the power to do so. And they wanted that.

She's a Marxist Communist and Fascist. And those haters of Trump here prefer that to a Christian in the White House.

And they'll crow that Trump doesn't act like one. While read and see it is they who fit that description. Every anti-Trump,anti-America post they publish in their name.

Pay,pray, attention when the Devils disciples openly come against the people of Christ and this one nation ,the United States of Americans.
When they show us what they are,and are not, believe them!
God bless you too sister.

Should? Yes. Will it happen? No.
Will there be repentance? Absolutely.

For those who still have their God given, unadulterated DNA when the bottomless pit is opened, guaranteed they will be seeking the face of God in repentance. Though I strongly suggest no one wait that long, there will be a great deal of seeking and repenting going on.
