The FCC lied to the American people in stating they canceled their attempt to send government monitors into all of America's newsrooms.

FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai, who blew the whistle on the federal agency’s plan to study purported bias in the news, says the survey has been "suspended," not canceled as the FCC has said.

The Federal Communications Commission declared last week that it had shelved a controversial survey on how newsrooms cover various news stories, which was derided by critics as a threat to the First Amendment right of press freedom.

Dissolve the FCC. And the IRS. And the ATF. And the NSA. And the Fed. And the "insert three-letter government related entity here."

Keep SHIELD though. Their agents are the only things standing between us and vengeful Norse gods, aliens, mad scientists, etc.

Interesting.

In Australia the government is getting a bit upset with the government sponsored channel (ABC) because "they take everyone's side except our own".

An efficiency review was called on the ABC not long after.

Abbott government to launch 'efficiency study' into ABC, SBS

Des, I think they should get rid of shield. Those guys are a bunch of loose cannons. Sorry about that.

Okay Drett, don't come crying to me when you have to file an insurance claim for a car that has been cleanly sliced in half by none other than Loki.

At least we would still have the Guardians of the Galaxy available to save us, but you would probably deprive Star Lord of his Walkman.

This goes a little deeper, if I understand it correctly, than newsrooms being monitored.

As I understand it, radio will be a major target, call screeners and board operators for, of course, conservative radio shows, on wether or not they stifle opposition calls.

Its a blatant attack on the only opposition to this regime in office.

By the way do you really think the government, run by this president, is gonna tear down CNN, MSNBC NBC, ABC, and CBS?? They are co-conspiritors.

One of the few encouraging things is the growth in popularity of internet news. The unfortunate thing about that is the government wants control over it as well.

follow the ratings.

Radio - Lib talk fails they really can't get people to listen to it. Conservative talk beats lib talk in the ratings always has always will.
TV - Lib slanted news networks again fail in the ratings. "Conservative" (and I do use that word loosely) FoxNews again wins hands down in the ratings.

The Libs cant stand that the majority want no part of them. Lets face it if it wasn't for government hand outs Democrats would never win any election.

...and voter fraud.

That's the problem with conservative ideology. It sells integrity which is a difficult sell in today's fast food world that would rather murder babies than have self control

Another problem is that there are conservatives too innocent and naive to believe that somebody would actually cheat.
