Yes, I confirmed there is only one gospel, but you ignored my point.
my only point was that there was only 1 not both could be right.

so if you agreed, you should have left it at that.

I never made any mention or comment about which of us were right., nor did i discuss that.

I did not ignore your point.

Oh, I see. I misunderstood "We both can not be right" to mean that you claim to be right. Sorry.

I invite you to discuss election systematically on the Hermeneutics thread if that topic interests you.

See. thats why I can not have a conversation with you. You continue to see what you want to see and try to insert that into our discussions.

No. We both can not be right. means

that maybe one of is is right,

Maybe we both are wrong (and there is actually another truth we are not seeing)

but we both can not be right.

I invite you to discuss election systematically on the Hermeneutics thread if that topic interests you.

It does not get any plainer..........Our righteous works have ZERO to do with Salvation!

English Standard Version
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

Berean Study Bible
He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Berean Literal Bible
He saved us, not by works in righteousness that we did, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

New American Standard Bible
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

King James Bible
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
This verse is talking about being saved in the sense of participating in the process of justification by which our sins are forgiven and we are taken from a sinning defiled state into a forgiven pure state, and receive the Holy Spirit who is the deposit put down on the purchased possession UNTIL the time of the resurrection. It is not about whether the first century Christians will be saved in the sense of being found faithful and raised up in the first resurrection, the resurrection of the just at the end of the age. It is possible that at the time of the hand over, when the Lord had intended to take full occupancy of the house, the original house-owner has so vandalised the property that the Lord withdraws His deposit and rejects the deal.
