I am well aware of what the "great commission" entails. However...

On the one hand you say, His work is finished, as He said so on the cross.

On the other hand, you repeatedly keep saying He works to this day.

Therefore? Therefore, you contradict yourself.

I am sorry if this is too complicated for you to grasp.

Ps~ the great commission is for us to carry out.

Jesus is the spirit in all Christians that work for the better to bring salvation to new converts day and night there is no contradiction if you see that is also the mission.

And also when Jesus spoke his last words it is finished, it was the start of the great commission.

So it was never finished.

I will leave you with this song from my homeland Wales in the UK and my first language Welsh and hope it brings you some peace Im sure you'll recognise the song.

No it was not. The great commission was given after His resurrection (found in Matthew 28:18-20).

I haven't contradicted my self, you and snacker are contradicting what I'm saying.

Snacker said when Jesus said his last words its finished, Jesus was saying works for salvation was finished,
First They where not the last words of Jesus.

The last words of Jesus was it's finished which means his mission of what he was sent for was finished.

But the end of his mission was the start of the great commission.

The great commission is to go and make deciples of nations.

The spirit in Christians is the spirit that works day and night to bring salvation to new converts,

So works for salvation is needed and is just as much valid befor the cross and after the cross.

So if you want more peace listen to this

The great commission refers to sever passages in scripture not just one.

So your the one who's contradicting

The great commission was given after His resurrection. Your assertions to the contrary do not change that fact.

You just can't seem to get it into your head that "Not by works" refers to how we obtain salvation,
which is to say, it is not by works. That we do the works after we are saved God prepared for us to
do is not what the discussion here has been about, except from you and your bent mindset.

Firstly you say nobody disagrees that the spirit is Jesus in çhistians is the spirit that works day añd night to bring salvation to new converts.

But yet you fail to see snackers contradiction that the works for salvation was finished at the cross.

You also fail to see that the great commission refers to more than one passage in the bible, and you have indicated it only applies to Mathew 28:17-20

It's a false argument.

By not acknowledging this you continuing to use an argument that has no relevance what so ever to do with anything, but yet you want me to get it in to my bent mind set that it has substance or some importance when it has absolutely no credibility what so ever.

What I have suggested does have relevance truth substance and foundation. Which is Jesus works day and night to bring salvation for new converts and so does his followers.

which means works for salvation is needed.

SO my mind has to adapt to works are not important to salvation based on a total
unedifying argument.

because I can't see any building up of the church in this argument what so ever, only a diversion from the truth.

needed to be done for us to obtain salvation by grace through faith in His shed righteous blood.
The fact that you continue to miss this and pick arguments about whatever fancies you is puzzling,
and a main reason why I have come to the conclusion that you are one who just wants to argue.

IT WAS A DONE DEAL THE MOMENT HE PLANNED IT, BEFORE TIME BEGAN.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.


Guess you never read that with UNDERSTANDING ! ! !
