I just think it more respectful to keep the topic he started. I knew DCon very well on this Forum too.
DC, was letting us discuss anything, and we will continue that. WHY ? ? ? Look at the number of PAGES ? ? ? Restricting it to ONE SUBJECT, Means you HAVE TO REPEAT YOURSELF, over, and over, and over again. Most of us a evangelical type of Christians, which means NONE of us regulars here, absolutely believe, Works have Nothing to do with our Salvation. And almost everyone of us are in the OSAS theology. Works are motivated IN US, BY HIM, and After we are SAVED FOR SURE, from the BEGINNING OF TIME, giving us a way to LOVE HIM BACK, because HE First LOVED US.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved us - not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the
hope of eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NJB)
8 Because it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith; not by anything of your own, but by a gift from God;
9 not by anything that you have done, so that nobody can claim the credit.

So, we are very Comfortable that GOD SAVED US BY GRACE and HAVE PEACE WITH GOD, and not because of works; and DO NOT WANT TO hear from those who believe otherwise. NO, we do not want to discuss it.

Nothin' but the "TRUFF"
:)
That reminds me of the story of 2 guys who decided to try to jump across the Grand Canyon. The first guy jumps and goes out 15 and the second guy jumps and goes out 25 feet. Both ended up dead at the bottom. How far is it to heaven? I'm not sure I'd make it 15 out these days.

There is an alternative...,start a new thread :)

NO, THIS OSAS IS THE CORE OF OUR BELIEF AND 100% TRUST, IN JESUS CHRIST, AND WITH HIM AND THE HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE US, IT RINGS 100% TRUE.

1 Corinthians 12:13 (HCSB)
13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

We all believe the HOLY SPIRIT immersed us into the spiritual Body of Christ.

Whoa up brother!

There are many many churches that are fully OSAS believing that don't believe the body of Christ is a universal, every believer entity.. in case you didn't know.

I believe this also.. where every mention of church is of a localised entity, whether it be AT a particular place.. or representative of all.. eg Jesus saying He will build His church in Matthew 16:18. The former is of a particular ref.. the latter is general but still local. The latter being the case of how we speak of the 'horse is a magnificent animal'.. that isn't a universal horse :)

So with 1 Corinthians 12:13.. the body here.. is not every believer.. but the local church body. So becoming a member of a local body.. Paul was baptised by immersion in ref to the body he joined.. and then the Corinthians would have been baptised in ref to the church they joined at Corinth.

Also.. there is an entity of every believer-- the Family of God. But this is not the body of Christ.. they are not the same thing.

So anyway... just so you are aware.. I think this is also what DC believers.. we have the same kind of church we go to. Altho I am on the other side of the world of course.

There will be one body of all believers in the end.. but we don't have that yet.

Blessings

That's Their Problem, and they may find out that they really were not saved from the Beginning of time.

If you do not believe, we were all baptized by the Holy Spirit, immersing us into to the Spiritual Body of Christ. I know no other Way, so the Rapture will be a Big Surprise for THOSE.

The Bible says:

Matthew 22:14 (ESV)
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Weeell salvation is thru believing Jesus is God, lived a sinless life, died and rose again. That by believing in Him they have eternal life.

A lost person is convicted of their need for Him. They can then believe in Him and are saved when they do.

Neither calvinist nor Armenian is real salvation.

Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16, 5:24. Among other verses.

Jesus was into the first church growth movement. If people are following His example, they will be fine.
Oh really?...

But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
(Joh 6:64-66)

I wasn't referring to OSAS but more like the 3rd Temple stuff.
