I believe OSAS provides false security because it allows people to think they may obtain by dead faith that which can only be obtained by living faith: eternal life. The reason why is because Jesus said over and over, "To him that overcometh..." but OSAS teaches, "Overcoming? Meh...not important."
That’s kind of rude,I am not here to argue a point thinking I would change the regulars' minds. If someone here has been in this thread for years with their beliefs, I have no hope of changing their minds. I only hope someone reading would receive the truth.
I will now leave.

just another way to say born of the spirit perfected by works. Again, paul calls people who believe this fools. and most of all. remember God knows our heart, he does not need proof.Nope, I preach we are saved by grace but are judged by our works because our works prove if we've been saved by grace.
nope, I am a preacher that believes he who began a good work in you will complete it (hebrews)You are a preacher of License - that salvation is a license to continue doing without consequence that which caused the death of Jesus on the Cross in the first place.
nope I call evil evil and I a, calling your sin out, and proving that you break the ten commands and do not even own up to it.You not only break the Ten Commandments but teach others to do so. Jesus says we are to both do and teach others to keep them. Talk about calling evil "good" and good "evil".![]()

Licensed Christianity always confuses "Christian Origination" with "Christian Obligation". Everyone knows how "Christian Origination" happens: "by grace through faith...not of works."If OSAS is not what happens at the moment of receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior, then there is no security in any other venue for salvation. If salvation can be lost and only retained through works or certain acts, then we are no better off than the Sadducee, Pharisee.
There is no "false security" in accepting the gift of salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ whose blood is the only powerful thing to cleanses us from our filthy sin.
Titus 3:5 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost
Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
You forgot oneLicensed Christianity always confuses "Christian Origination" with "Christian Obligation". Everyone knows how "Christian Origination" happens: "by grace through faith...not of works."
What about "Christian Obligation" - the non-negotiable, unconditional duty of the Christian to render the "reasonable service" of good works?
There are two kinds of people in the church:
1) saved Christians secure in Christ's promise of indwelling power to fulfill their obligation to overcome sinful habits
2) lost sinners falsely secure in a presumption of salvation due to having rejected Christ's indwelling power to fulfill this obligation.
