Bye bye to everyone who knows me.
BillG is leaving the building.
fair enough.....i was under the assumption after reading several posts on this looooooonggg thread that many believed they could continue in sin and live like the devil and call themselves Christians....thanks glad were on the same page. God bless
Hypocrite. You sin every day and yet judge against those who "continue" in sin. You are much a habitual sinner as anyone else.
And with the usual strawman to grace it "believe they could live like a devil and call themselves Christians". Now he showed us all. After putting fake beliefs/claims into our mouths.
There are many here, and many more will certainly come, who have blinders on regarding their own hypocrisy. They so love to sit in the judgement seat and pronounce guilt upon those who do what they themselves do - every single day of their lives. I have challenged them many times to tell us, before God, even one single day they managed not to sin.
They won't, because they can't.
Uhhh, I've heard some proclaim this, quite the contrary. When faced with Scripture that this makes them liars, they pretzel it away that it means something else...
Seems this particular room died after its owner left. Probably the most important thread here
Actually a few did change and are thankfully for this threadPeople just argued and nobody ever changed their mind. While I miss dcon, I wouldn't be too upset about this thread dying.

They can twist and turn all they like, but it all boils down to this: While we are in the flesh, we will sin. There is no getting around that. But praise God, every single sin - past, present, and future - was forgiven and washed away at the cross. There is nothing left to condemn us.
Should we try to live a life pleasing to God? Absolutely! But our salvation is settled. And nothing in all creation can change that.

Maybe you need to go ask your pastor why John declaired if we say we have no sink we decieve ourselves,You guys need to go ask your pastor if you can go back through the junior or maybe even primary Sunday school class because you evidently didn't learn anything.
BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMMITTING SIN AND LIVING IN SIN!!! Lol....children know the difference
Or maybe he already known, and like many, you assume things yu do not knowYou need to study the difference between committing sin and living in sin
See!!!! I knew you couldn't read good. I never said a Christian dosnt sin somtimes......yall are good at putting words in peoples mouth....probably comes with the lack of reading ability??Maybe you need to go ask your pastor why John declaired if we say we have no sink we decieve ourselves,
yet he also said, a child born of God can not sin, because he has been born of God. One who sins has never seen or known God.
one is talking about commiting sin
The other about living in sin,
do you know which is which!
Here is the way that I usually show that EVERY ONE continues to SIN, but most are blind to it.
Every Ordinance of man, that does not contradict a specific command of GOD, HE expects us to obey those ordinances.
1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV)
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--
16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Now look at some of the most frequent ordinances of man, that are violated by many people that call themselves Christians.

ETC., ETC.
And violating any one of them is a SIN.
