I made this thread awhile back. It kinda encapsulates my earlier post here. I'd be interested to know what some of you newer members think:What I am reading on this thread lately is......
- We all have our truths, your truth is no better than mine.
- If you disagree with my beliefs then you are not open to discussion
- Do not challenge my beliefs, lets just agree to disagree
- The bible can be interpreted according to what makes me feel good
- I expect my beliefs to be validated and approved since we are all brothers in Christ
I have yet to read anywhere in scripture these sentiments... but maybe I am wrong?
And to be quiet honest ideas like this worry me.

Romans 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
Maybe I'm taking this Scripture in a wrong way, but this tells me that it's okay to state the truth, but if reproving isn't profitable, disengage from argument, yet not reject brother/sister... because to our master Christ we all stand or fall.
I am aware this might have caused me to eventually lose respect of some and some friends on CC, but I must do as I am convicted in my spirit to do. That of course goes for all of us. And I think that's the point of that whole chapter.

It is right to provide correction and preach the truth. I just believe that there is no use of persisting in arguments if a specific person is not receptive to correction or even open to discussion, then it's time to "shake the dust off" and leave it to Jesus as not to alienate them further. You can only help educate a wise man anyway, the foolish one will only get hostile.I think we do receive those weak in the faith, however it is when "correction" come so as not to compromise truth that problems start...imho.
I am very thankful I was not left in error when I was accepting false dogma.

That's a winner for me. I'm not going to coddle, sweet talk anyone who divides, sways, twist the Word of God nor whatever I say. That is what some on here have begun to propose. If they want to do so, ok but the only "preaching" I will deal with is from my Lord.
