Yes it’s a humbling experience to come to the realization that a Holy God exists When you weren’t even looking or concerned with the things of God . From the perspective of a atheist ( former atheist now ) it is something that scares then immediately fills one with gratitude Knowing He is merciful .
Blessings

That doesn’t mean He forces them to believe. He just works grace into their heart that just have to have Him as Lord and Savior.
There’s a difference between God knowing a person is a Christian and the person assuming they are. His view is the only one that counts. Why should a born again Christian fear the lake of fire?
There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
?
God is just ...
it is your system that makes Him unjust...
only some are deserving of salvation in your system....
why because He purposely leaves others out.
It is the Calvinist scheme that makes God morally ambigous, or completely inept.....selecting a few when He could select all.
No one in the Bible reported that as their experience nor did anyone ever preach it. They all reported being deeply convicted of sin and repenting and that was what was preached. The other sounds more appealing though. Repentance is not appealing at all. That doesn’t mean He forces them to believe. He just works grace into their heart that just have to have Him as Lord and Savior.
Yet we get accused of teaching God forces ppl to be saved. I guess the person who flatlined and were revived via CPR, will point with the accusing finger at all the nurses and doctors who, by God’s grace, revived them. If they’re consistent they’d say they force their reviving on them.No one in the Bible reported that as their experience nor did anyone ever preach it. The current world crises has reminded me of something Calvinists refuse to see. Doctors in areas hard hit by many Covid cases say that the hardest part is choosing who gets hospitalized and those not. Those doctors know what every Calvinists refuses to see and that is choosing who gets care they are AT THE SAME TIME, choosing who dies by not selecting them. None of them I read comfort themselves with the lie that it’s good they “save” anyone cause none of the sick deserve any care.Nope ... I do not impugn the character of God....and give Him a character of love and hate in equal doses

If all the doctors in the hospital cared for him alone letting 20 others die, those 20 others have a clear case of injustice against them. If the doctors shrug their shoulders and say no one deserved to be revived, it doesn’t make it just.Yet we get accused of teaching God forces ppl to be saved. Nowhere does scripture state that grace is "irresistible" which has been demonstrated on this thread several times.
We judge all things by the word of God, not by experience alone.
Free will is an act of love. It the only basis for love. Insisting God ravished a believer who has no free will at that point makes God a tyrant. Being grateful you no longer could choose to love or not doesn’t make it better.Amen. But that doesn’t mean by saving some and not all makes Him unjust. You’re conflating His justice...giving ppl exactly what they deserve...with fairness.
Not so. Him giving ppl what they deserve is just. Him saving those who He wasn‘t obligated to save to begin with, is grace.
In our system, none deserve salvation. That why it’s called grace.
He leaves no one out. All fell in Adam. All deserved eternal damnation. Yet, He, in His grace and mercy, is saving a number of God-hating ppl that no man can number, and that’s not fair. You’re demanding Him to call everyone or He isn’t meeting your demands.
Again, making demands of God I see. Completely inept in our system? We are the ones who say God saves everyone He intends to save. Your system has God trying to save everyone, but He can’t overcome their pesky free will. I pray God blesses up you, but you and I are done. Good bye.
Excellent post. Rejoiced my heart to see you had the courage to say what I thought but didn’t have your courage. The experience sounds like something else than claimed. You are quite right. The word Irresistible, is never used in the BIBLE.
In fact the ONLY place I could even find it was the NIV bible and they use it, as a MADE UP ADJECTIVE, which is not in the GREEK, talking about a Great Mighty Army sweeping over everything like a flood.
Daniel 11:10 (NIV)
10 His sons will prepare for war and assemble a great army, which will sweep on like an irresistible flood and carry the battle as far as his fortress.
The NIV clearly made that word up. I suspect that she is talking about the "Charismatic Experience", which some assume it is the Holy Spirit. If that is what she wants to believe, I guess she can do that if she wants to, as long as it is in a Charismatic or Pentecostal Church. Personally in my opinion, it is all counterfeit, but that is just my opinion, and it is not my understanding.
@jackrosie is what I’m posting making sense to you? I see you’re giving me positive reactions to my posts, so I guess they are. If you have any questions you need answered, please fire away.

That does not mean it is untrue.Exactly..your opinion....what you teach, apart from scripture..is of no understanding to me either...
That does not mean it is untrue.
I understood it perfectly and thought it well written and accurate. Perhaps even God motivated so that He can prevail over untruth.Did I say it was untrue?..I don’t understand it.is what I said...same as what I and a few others say....” doesn’t mean it is untrue”
God’s truth prevails over any lies.

He prevails when people understand. I’m sorry you don’t understand. Perhaps you could ask Him to help you understand. “If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God..”Good for you....I didn’t understand it......God’s truth prevails over all lies.
