Abraham rejoiced to see Christ's day: and when he saw it, he was glad (John 8:56).
Abraham was saved by believing in Christ, like us today.
You mean Abraham believed Christ would die for his sins and rise again on the 3rd day to justify him?
God has chosen those who would be in Christ before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you (1 Peter 1:20).
He is referred to as the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).
Instead of anticipating revelation, what saith the scripture in Genesis 12 and Genesis 15?
What good news did God told Abraham in those chapters that he believed in?
More importantly; What saith the scripture about Genesis 12 and 15?
Now to Abraham and to his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Galatians 3:16).
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29).
God's purpose for mankind is to obtain eternal life in the unseen spiritual world to come, not the temporal word that we can see now where no one lives forever.
Is there a reason why you refuse to quote from genesis 12 and 15 and see what good news God told Abraham that he. Believed in?
Because I don't need to. The proper interpretation has been given to us in the new testament.
All the promises of God in [Christ] are yea, and in him Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20).
Galatians contains the inspired interpretation of Genesis 12 and 15 by a Jew, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews and one to whom Christ spoke to.
Why should I seek or receive a different interpretation from anyone else? Or seek to my own understanding?
I was asking you what was the good news that Abraham heard from God

I am aware of what the promises God made to Abraham were.
Why don't you make a point about those promises?
Tell me why what Paul wrote about the promises made to Abraham are incorrect or incomplete.
Are you going to tell me that Christ was never meant to die on the cross and bring eternal life to all the world?
That God's goal was to give Israel an earthly king in their earthly land and keep sacrificing animals that can never take away sins?
Are you not a Dispensational Theology believer?
If you are a Dispensationalist, fine. Move on.
In my opinion Dispensationalism is a teaching that greatly corrupts men.
My point is that Abraham did not believe in Jesus dying for his sins and rising again for his justification.
He did not have to, God did not reveal that to him then, in order to be righteous
If God is able to raise up seed unto Abraham of stones; couldn't God reveal the gospel of Christ to him after his physical death?
He is the God of Abraham. All live unto God.
Well he could have.
But the point remains, the good news preached him then was not 1 cor 15;1-4
let the scripture explain itself
Obviously, it's the 'I can sin all I want and still be saved' gospel that is hung up on sin and doesn't understand the new birth.
The one who follows the true gospel of grace is hung up on righteousness:
"12 It (grace) teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age" - Titus 2:12
So as you can see, I do get it. Anybody who says grace means 'I can sin all I want and still be saved' is the one focused on sin rather than on grace and righteousness. They are the ones who do not get it.
But your gospel says a person is allowed to sin any sin all they want, including going back to unbelief, because grace abounds all the more. And your gospel says how a person lives isn't a sign of them being saved or not. So why are you saying "it is obvious that he is not of God by his actions, deeds, words and twist of the word of God'?
If im on a job and 6-20 people are telling me im doing something wrong...self check, Im putting lives in danger.
