Abraham was declared righteous before he was circumcised, therefore can be used as a type of NT believer. But we are not identical especially in what was believed to become righteous.

That's exactly what the osas church does.
They say, "I am safe because I'm the temple of the Lord, I'm the temple of the Lord".

Now reread that passage with that in mind. They trust in deceptive words if they think being the temple of the Lord makes them safe--safe to hate and murder in the name of correctness of doctrine.

Debating about doctrine can get passionate. It is much like how debating politics can get passionate as well. The way I see it is there is a big difference between heated debate and hate or murder. If unkind and harsh words are exchanged, it doesn't mean there is hate but it shows that we all sin and make mistakes in life.

The Holy Spirit indwells those who receive Jesus. I believe this is how a person is the temple of God when the Holy Spirit indwells him/her. I believe the Holy Spirit is a Spirit of love and the closer one walks with Jesus, the more love one will demonstrate to others. We are not perfect or sinless by any stretch of the imagination but Jesus is perfect and he came for you and me and everyone here too. His word is true and we can trust in him and depend on him.

No, that's not what happened. I've been out of the forum and was just checking in to see what's going on I saw your backbiting remarks and I thought, 'these babies need to grow up'.

Your behavior shows you are either a baby in Christ or not saved at all. Since you think it above my pay grade to decide, then you tell me--which is it? Are you just immature in Christ, or not saved at all? Until you get to the 4th type of soil, you can't begin to think that you might be always saved. Only mature people in Christ have any boast of not falling back to the world in unbelief. You're not there yet. Your behavior shows that.

See, you're all about correctness of doctrine, not actually living for Christ. You think your so-called knowledge means you're safe in Christ. Not even remotely true. The church is big on doctrine, as if that's what it means to 'believe', and they're not so big on actually living out the faith. It's a disgrace.

this was my error too. i think its the same thing in new covenant people mix justification with sanctification.

and they just love to condemn others to hell so much. so they say "i dont know about that hey i dont know. can you be doing that and be saved? not saved not saved not saved" they just love it. other people's sins are always different than your own. its the elitism attitude and pride.

The majority of this thread is filled with those who quickly rain down proud judgment on anyone who would even quote a scripture that tells us to not sin. Followed by false accusations. And the twisting of scripture here is appalling.

I apologize if my post seemed directed at you or implied anything beyond what was written. I mean, is this what Christianity is? To proclaim that we all still sin regardless of the countless scriptures that exhort us not to sin?

The Galatians were known by God, but they did not know him. And because of that immaturity they were led astray from faith in Christ. Weak believers have no claim to some kind of osas immunity from falling away. Only 4th type of soil mature believers can even think about never falling away from salvation. Many here have yet to even see the 4th type of soil, let alone actually possess it. I know this by how you behave.

If you truly belong to God, or want to belong to him, you will hear what I'm saying and not resist this Biblical message.
