They didn’t say have to. They issued the imperative “be holy, for I am holy” etc

It’s not a command that we keep or strive to keep to be saved. It is a Fatherly command from God to His Children

And holiness of life does not equal perfection.

And be assured when he speaks of "born again" I am almost positive he is not referencing regeneration, as in a work of God... but stopping one's sin a work of man... accomplished by one's own effort.

Got to say EG, this is so slow and round about, you have lost me on the point of this chain of questions.
Have you ever tried to teach 3 year olds? They would already be out the classroom and outside before
you finished the first point, lol :love: Maybe its because you know so much and I know and understand so little.

We do not become like God to be saved... and I have listened to his videos twice to my chagrin, and while much is not clear in meaning it is quite obvious he is of the belief that one is saved via sanctification so perhaps you could point out the error of his thinking to him and not me.

God was "calling ME!" I wasn't calling God!

THESE? Are the "very elect!"

This is "why" we can "see" right through "the WISDOM of man!"

This is ALSO why "the wisdom of man" hates us!

They don't WANT this current earth/Heaven age to EVER end!

But even "they" KNOW, they CAN'T stop it!

The BEST they can do, is to SLOW its coming!

Luke 18:10-14

I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of everything I get.’

I tell you that this man went down to his home justified rather than the Pharisee. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.

So you have passed from death to life because you asked God to be merciful to you, sinner that you are.
Jesus and the rest do not matter.

It is more than obvious from his posts on here that he is saving himself.

As for me believing Jesus is GOD HIMSELF? Jesus Himself wouldn't even make THAT claim!

Nah! There's only ONE jesus who thinks THAT!:
2 Thessalonians 2:4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he AS God sitteth in the temple of God, SHEWING himself that he IS God.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man (wisdom of man) receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

It’s not that I do not trust you. Its just that the quotes you gave in the post I responded to taken by themselves and not in context could be possibly interpreted differently than you are interpreting them. So I want to see the context

After all, for example, it is written that without holiness ( which is a fruit of grace) no man will see the Lord. And the scriptures also say if we claim to abide in Him, we ought to walk as He walked.

These are all post/after regen of course 🙂

greater context is important... but he is against OSAS so what he states does not matter.

The above reminded me of a bungee jump and the guys saying, just jump, nothing else is required.
Now it is true you jump and trust, but everything else around keeps you safe and is safety checked and put in place etc.
You could describe it all in detail each thing and how it works and who does what or just say jump.

So much confusion is caused because in context we call out, and the Lord fills in the rest over time.
And His promises are met 100% in His people.

Is this a sensible approach? Because you believe "x" everything else you say can be ignored.
That is the road to dictatorships and delusion.
