Now, I hope some who had never understood Born Again, or had false ideas about what it means, HAVE used those instructions in my previous post, to genuinely become Born Again.
Now with a like minded spirit, I hope that this will make sense to all who KNOW CHRIST.
In Mat. chapter 7, and also in Paul's epistles there are stern warnings again False Teachers. THAT IS A GIVEN.
However, we have a clear indication from Christ to be somewhat tolerant. Now I have been probably intolerant more than I should be, and here is my reasoning:
Mark 9:38-40 (ESV)
38 John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us.”
39 But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me.
40 For the one who is not against us is for us.
Mark 3:28-29 (NCV)
28 I tell you the truth, all sins that people do and all the things people say against God can be forgiven.
29 But anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of a sin that continues forever.“
So I see a hint of Tolerance is Jesus' voice, but also in HIS voice, I hear were HE seems to draw the Line, is GENUINELY KNOWING HIM.
Matthew 7:19-23 (NIV)
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'
23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
That is Born Again, when you finally get to KNOW HIM, in your Heart, not just in your human brain.

You are not reading CAREFULLY. You are INJECTING your own ideas of what he is SAYING here.
The author's not, here, going on to say, "but if he [that 'mere lifeless professor'] AFTER HE COMES TO TRUE FAITH and THEN ABANDONS CHRIST that is apostasy" NO! The author is NOT SAYING THAT [the CAPS]!

Jesus dealt with my sin at the cross......and NOW I stand in a position of GRACE.....maybe you should TRUST JESUS by faith instead of yourself.....
That is what you cannot grasp....works do NOT get us in a RIGHT PLACE....SALVATION does and JESUS PRODUCES the works/fruit AFTER we have been saved....wake up man....
