Why do people post scripture without exegesis?
For the Truth of Gods Word to be seen, not mans interpretation, that sometimes gets it twisted just enough to render it void.

You mean the law of Moses, not the commands given in the NT right??So then .... to adopt the law as a gentile is working even more backwards if such a thing were possible.

Amen! Sadly, I have witnessed numerous misguided teachers of the law do just that and the end result is salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works." Subtle mixture of law and grace that is a perversion of the gospel. (Galatians 1:6-9)
That’s one heck of an outfit the person is wearing behind the kitty.A good way to start the day:
I have never heard even the most hardcore free grace people like *Unnamed famous preacher who starts with J and ends with oseph and last name is royalty* teach "don't follow, don't do" WHO DOES THAT? This is brought up over and over again yet I aint never seen no one say that.1343 dikaiosune righteousness, justice
Integrity, virtue, purity of life, uprightness, correctness in thinking ,feeling, and acting
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The PERVERSION of the Word of God is to accept by grace the GIFT OF SALVATION through faith, (Gods Word) then turn around to preach "DON'T FOLLOW" "DON'T DO" (mans' perversion of it)
(with the reasons being "can't add to salvation, salvation can't be lost, don't labor, rest, and continued promotion of division by defining all laws/commands as the law of Moses when ever works or law is brought up and by saying Gentiles not under law)
Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock
Matthew 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Matthew 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand
Matthew 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
What are those command DeighAnn? ... back later to catch your answer

I respond to you worker bees so people who are new to the faith don’t become imprisoned by incorrect teachings that take away from the fullness of Jesus Christ.
rest Is not going back to the law and trying to obey it, trying to live up to the standard you can NEVER live up to begin with, rest is sitting still, trusting god to work through you, and moving forward, knowing god has your back no matter what![/B]
HER whole premise is false.....Moving on to maturity or not has ZERO impact on our BIRTH which has ALREADY TAKEN PLACE by faith....it is ETERNAL and GIVEN IRREVOCABLY......and for SURE cannot be gained, earned, maintained, procured, embellished etc. by what we do or don't do![/QUOTE]

All talk of law is against law. Not one word of follow laws in NT my quote
Hahah hilariousPeople that like, are good at, numbers/math are like that .... naaaw... just into details ... the MARINE in you!! hahahhah
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
James 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Proverbs 10:8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
Hahah hilarious
You mean the law of Moses, not the commands given in the NT right??
The only PURE motive for OBEDIENCE to GOD, is GOD Given LOVE. ANY other Motive will be rejected by GOD.
1 John 2:5 (HCSB)
5 But whoever keeps His word, truly in him the love of God is perfected. This is how we know we are in Him:
LABOUR for the LORD, is NOT A BURDEN BECAUSE IT IS WHAT WE LOVE TO DO.
WE are the ones WHO the love, which means sometimes we fall short and that is sin, but sin, it has not dominion over us.
1 John 3:10 (NASB)
10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.
For the Truth of Gods Word to be seen, not mans interpretation, that sometimes gets it twisted just enough to render it void.
Revelation 22:14
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates.
Revelation 22:14 does not have the words "do his commandments" in the text.
Are you aware of that?
Galatians 3:1-2
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
It is not about mans interpretation.... it is about understanding the scripture within the historical-grammatical-contextual background with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Not once. You? What happened with the Ambien? How many times today have you fallen short of this COMMAND IN THE NT ? ? ?
Matthew 22:37 (HCSB)
37 He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
well, you see, here is twisting- pushing the lie that the Law is divided into pieces, when it is 100% not.
I have given you many examples of this, you have rejected all of them, which is why I say you are willfully blind.
oh, and here is another- what was brought to king Josiah, and what did he read to the people- the BOOK of the Law.
book. singular. the book was referred to as " it". again singular.
be waiting to see how attempt to spin this....
