Not By Works

This evening we sang this song just Prior to Communion Service. We have not sang it in a long time, I forgotten HOW I LOVE IT SO!

For clarity for those who say I am all over the place because You make statements saying I made them and then put them out as truth.

For some "unknown" reason you don't believe that EVERYONE sees it.

Jesus gave us REST in the way of the law by taking away the ceremonies, ordinances, sacrifices, going through priests to talk to God by being the perfect Lamb of God. We don't have to find forgiveness through animal sacrifice, we have the Lamb. We don't go through a priest on earth, Jesus rent the veil. We have no burden of guilt and sin to carry around, because through repentance and forgiveness through His blood it is done. WE REST FROM THE WAYS THAT SIN WAS FORGIVEN UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES. I have stated this this way every time I post.

In that rest from the law of Moses we do the works for God. Our labour for the Lord does not stop. If we rested from labour, the Word of God would not have made it past the first generation that heard it.

So for those who have become confused????

Rest from the heavy yoke of the law of Moses, But you will only Rest from labour/works when you die. And your works do follow you and they are rewarded.

I have always stated that it is impossible to be UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES because it waxed old and decayeth and was till John and the first had to go for the second to come in.

Not a jot or tittle of the law of Moses has changed to educate those new in the Word to understand the Grace we have been afforded.
To understand all Christ has done and to understand Gods Plan.

Do you ever put Gods Word first. Any Words of His you would care to share. You seem to only critique. Why is that. Only know the 4 or 6 things

The only PURE motive for OBEDIENCE to GOD, is GOD Given LOVE. ANY other Motive will be rejected by GOD.

1 John 2:5 (HCSB)
5 But whoever keeps His word, truly in him the love of God is perfected. This is how we know we are in Him:

LABOUR for the LORD, is NOT A BURDEN BECAUSE IT IS WHAT WE LOVE TO DO.

WE are the ones WHO the love, which means sometimes we fall short and that is sin, but sin, it has not dominion over us.

1 John 3:10 (NASB)
10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

i do not know who thought you this stuff.

But they have led you astray, If this is ALL god did. He has not provided rest at all. He has at most offered a false hope that you can be righteous enough to earn anything from him. Which would be against his character and against his justice.

Until you learn the truth about the law. I fear you will remain in bondage.

yes, I do put God's Word first. I have been over many verses and Bible facts with you ( such as Leviticus 26 making it 100% clear that the Covenant that contained the Law and the 10 Commands was made ONLY with those who came out of Egypt).

but, you do not care. the greek word ( the language that the N.T. is written in) does NOT divide the Law into multiple parts. one word, one law.

why should I keep telling this when you only care about studying your own thoughts , and not look at these facts??

No one has ever received forgiveness through the blood of animals....Hebrews states clearly it was impossible for the blood of goats and cattle to bring FORGIVENESS OF SINS.....you have a lot to unlearn and relearn.....them offering blood was them LOOKING forward to that which would come.......and there are MANY pictures, types and shadows found in the O.T. pointing to CHRIST!

Amen...........the Pharisees had the same problem...."the forest because of the trees" issue.........the law has one job.....convict, condemn and point to Jesus and the eternal buyback found in him by faith because of grace!!
