Yup exactly what I told him.
The other side.... the informal use of "insane" means beyond ordinary .... so now he has been educated on the word and its meaning.
What I don't get is why would you call someone else a liar rather than just say I should have used a different term?
Just own it. Take responsibility.
I know he just meant it as a figure of speech. But apparently that figure of speech was taboo on this thread. That's what happens when you come in at page 2000 and then don't come back until page 5000.
You miss some pretty important stuff.
Like what's the actual score? 5500 to 0? Did we have halftime yet?
Intent vs. Impact
You called something someone else did "insane".
Perhaps your intent was not to call them insane. Perhaps your intent was to separate insane actions from an insane mind. Perhaps that was only your intent after the fact.
The impact of what you said is that you actually called the person insane. Because insane actions only come from insane people.
WE can't always know what the impact of what we say will have versus the intent of what we say is. Its easy to deny the impact of what was said. But it is an impact, nonetheless.

regeneration is not what your phony lordship junk teaches. saved by grace, proved by works.
trash.
yes, I personally believe in regeneration, but you push INSTANT regeneration, that is a big fat lie.
it looks different for everyone. some folks are instantly regenerated , some it takes times for the Fruits of the Sprit to began to manifest.
all are saved the instant they believe, and stay so as long as they believe.
regeneration is a separate conversation.
here is what it means to you, and judgemental people like you-
it means that one's relationship with Christ is manifested by a instant change in behavior, so that you can judge and lord yourself over them, hence is the end result hoped for by lordship salvation, and every other garbage religion.
the disagreement is this-
when time frames are put on regeneration, then it makes it legalism.
grace salvation is negated when men make up their own rules that the Bible does not say.
but, here is the thing.
what you said here is true. but, if you teach that regeneration is instant, and looks the same for everyone, then that is not true.
so, that is why lordship salvation is bad. it will lead to pride ( I did it!!), despair, ( I came to Christ, but still struggle with ….. I guess I am not really saved.), or just being a faker. all bad
Another strawman post
And btw, regeneration is instant.
I am going to post some of GB9’s posts so You can see how he behaves. @Grandpa

actually, I was incorrect in part of my post you quoted. regeneration is instant.
but, where you are dead wrong, where lordship salvation is a total lie and farce.
the EVEIDENCE of that regeneration will look different in all people . some show instant results , some takes time .
so, since you will not agree with what I just said, the clear Biblical truth of salvation by grace FOR good works, then by default you push, lordship salvation pushes, attaches works TO salvation instead of properly saying works are a RESULT of salvation, salvation being by belief.
so, you DO teach works salvation, because you attach a " works are evidence of salvation " lie to salvation.
and, you will be a works salvationist until you stop pushing this lie.

I agree with DC his definition on renewal of mind, but we do know that that is not regeneration. Regeneration is the new birth. Renewal is a result of the new birth. One is instant when saved, and the other begins at salvation, but is a continuous process, like sanctification![]()
@gb9. The post is in part what I believe about regeneration.
And renewal of mind is what causes progressive change of behaviour, at least In part. So it’s obvious I didn’t say what you claimed I said
