Well one time you said some people call it hell. But I noticed that the bible version you quoted from called it Hades.

King James Version did not differentiate between Hades and Gehenna. But they are two different places because hades is cast into Gehenna. ( probably meaning the inhabitants of Hades cast into Gehenna, see my earlier posts) Would you say hell could be cast into hell?

I love the King James Version, but if that’s the only version you use, you’d better do some digging in the original languages. You don’t necessarily have to learn them, there are good tools to help you. But if you don’t carefully define terms, you are getting all mixed up

Its just that because you refuse to look at the underlying greek text or other translations, all efforts to explain Hades/Gehenna and where Jesus went are kinda pointless. Its just KJV KJV and more KJV

Hades had two parts. The place where the faithful went at death, Abraham’s bosom and the other part where the lost went

Two diiferent places, two different Greek words.

A. Hades is the place where the unsaved dead go when they die to await judgement.

B. The unsaved dead will be raised and judged, and condemned because their names will not be found in the book of Life

C. The judged will be cast into Gehenna, also called Lake of Fire, outer datkness, and Without ( outside the Holy city)

D. That is why scripture says death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire. The inhabitants of Hades will be raised, judged, and cast into the lake of fire

E. Hades is kind of like jail where wait trial, and Gehenna is like the penitentiary where you go after judgement

I dont disagree with that, I said the same thing with KJV terminology. The only difference I can see is that since you consider Abraham's bosom to be a place then you probably don't believe that Jesus went to hell/hades.

To each his own I guess. The KJV says Jesus went to hell, I believe it, and I see it in several different places in scripture.

Yes, I don’t agree with you, but notice I have not insulted you. Some folks like to insult those they disagree with, name calling and such. Which is why I attacked back. But don’t do that, because they’ll gang up on you

Also, it is true that satan does not go to Hades. He walks to and fro on the earth. But he will go to Gehenna along with his followers

There is also a place called the abyss, bottomless pit where satan is said to be or will be temporarily bound. There are differences of opinion as to whether the abyss is literal place or a symbolic binding

I believe the story of the rich man portrays two compartments hades, hell where the rich man fell and a paradise for Lazarus.

I do not believe the FABLE of two compartments of Hades. It is a place of torment for disembodied spirit of the unrighteous after they die. I offer as EVIDENCE:

Malachi 3:6 (ESV)
6 “For I the LORD do not change;
therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.

8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be

One thing about the KJV is they translated a lot of original words as hell. To me it makes it simpler and easier to keep up with. After all, there is only hell and the lake of fire.

Sheol is the Hebrew word that means the same as greek Gehenna. Same thing, just different languages, like cat and gato

Gehenna and the lake of fire are synonomous

Hades is like jail. Unsaved go there to await trial. Gehenna like the pen. They go there after judgement

Abyss only has to do with satan.

Oh, there’s also Tartarus. That’s like a prison for demons

Acts 2:31, the word translated hell there is hades
