It could be why I was 29 and still did not understand the first thing about Born Again. I did not want to admit that the Church I grew up in, the Lutheran Church, had a Insufficient Doctrine of SALVATION. They had the false idea to say a sinners prayer, to willing Receive JESUS as LORD, was works righteous, and was to be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. They NEVER DID realize that You cannot say a sinners prayer, as a CONFESSION except by the HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU.

and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” [as a confession] except by the Holy Spirit.
That particular Lutheran Church was extremely Denominationally Prejudice. When I changed Churches to a evangelical Bible Teaching Church, my Mom said, "So you are leaving thee Faith." When I said "Mom, there will be other denominations in Heaven." She actually said, "I don't know about that!" I am sure that some people in the Congregation, THOUGHT I WAS A HERTIC, because I Changed churches. In that Lutheran Church sermons were only about 10-15 minutes long. THAT WAS A STARVATION DIET, for my Exceeding Hungry young spirit. THAT IS THE MAIN REASON WHY I LEFT. I needed a Church where they spend about an hour expositing the WORD of GOD. But the decision to change Churches, was extremely difficult. That is because that last hurdle was an extremely high hurdle, I had to decide that I needed to leave my Mother's denomination.
That is what I suspect you are most likely dealing with, trying to share the Truth with Leastamongmany.
The work of salvation was done at Calvary,Jesus paid the whole debt for every soul at His time and thereafter! Nobody,unless they have zero I.Q. believes we can earn Redemption! The walk after has to be maintained by the keeping of the word of God! If you do not keep His word,you sin;sin separates from God. The wages of sin is death,spiritual death! The only sure saying is God is Eternal,the Alpha,and Omega,the beginning and the end!
Once you know the level of love and life in Jesus, why would you return to evil deeds. Just remember this, evil is death, not a nice small thing, but death.
We are free in Christ to worship and serve him. But many are happy to accept there position yet do nothing or even know that there hearts can lift in worship of Him.
So friends, he has saved you confess this. You will begin to feel the reality within, praise the Lord

You cannot KEEP HIS WORD PERFECTLY.
The Purpose of the LAW was not a LAW that You can KEEP, but to drive us to DESPERATION, to where we CLING to JESUS.

Believers love because we have (past tense) passed from death to life. 1 John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5)

Love One Another

Charity is love in action. Telling something the truth in love is good. Little chilren let us not love in WORD, neither in tongue. Quoting passages from the bible about love doesn't do anything. Sharing the love of God, the keeping hand of God when you placed your trust in Him will do. God loves you!
