Nobody can earn salvation ... I don't need anyone telling me that. But you can loose salvation; "working out the salvation" is doing everything necessary not to lose it: works.
I wonder if when Jesus talk about obeying him you are taking it seriously.

Thieves, liars, fornicators, adulterers, etc. who keep doing those things and believe they are saved ... that's what some people preach ... and that's why the world is not taking biblical principles seriously. Maybe those teachers are teaching that to atract people to themself, but that is not what a christian should teach.
