Nobody can earn salvation ... I don't need anyone telling me that. But you can loose salvation; "working out the salvation" is doing everything necessary not to lose it: works.

I wonder if when Jesus talk about obeying him you are taking it seriously. :unsure:

Rom 1:4 (ESV) and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, 5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations ...

Thieves, liars, fornicators, adulterers, etc. who keep doing those things and believe they are saved ... that's what some people preach ... and that's why the world is not taking biblical principles seriously. Maybe those teachers are teaching that to atract people to themself, but that is not what a christian should teach.

If you can lose salvation, then it must be earned.

You can not say you do not believe you can earn salvation, then in the next breath say if you do not do something, you will lose salvation.

its like me telling you I will give you 1 million doloars. As a grace gift, then impose requirments for you to keep that million dollars. And failure to do so will cause me to take back what I said I freely gave you.

1. I led to you by saying it was free
2. I am not trustworthy, I have decieved you into thinking it was free
3. I gave you what I called a gift, then tried to make you earn it, which makes it a reward or wage, not a gift.

A gift is paid in full by the giver. And is freely received by the receiver. Or rejected by the receiver.

A reward or wage must be earned by the receiver.

I think paul said it best, in warning the galation church who said openly salvation was originally received by grace, But after your saved, if you do not do these works. You will lose that salvation.

AMEN............I stand amazed at how many salvation losers deem the word of God false by their stance..............it is rather sickening to be honest......

The following is a comparison between the bible and salvation losers......and make no mistake...this is exactly what they peddle and or how they butcher the word of God by their losable salvation....

Bible -->I will never leave thee or forsake thee
Salvation Losers ---->Jesus is a liar and will leave us and forsake us

Bible --->We are saved to the uttermost and kept by the power of God through faith
Salvation losers --->The power of God is weak and inept, we are not saved to the uttermost and GOD does not keep us

Bible -->Jesus begins, finishes and completes the work of faith in us
Salvation losers --->WE must maintain our faith because JESUS does not finish and complete the work of faith in us

Bible -->He that believes on the SON is having everlasting/eternal life
Salvation losers --->He that believes and MAINTAINS his belief on the SON is having temporal life based upon what he does or does not do

Bible -->Therefore we conclude a man is justified by faith without the deeds/works of the law
Salvation losers -->James out of context tells us we are justified by our works before God

Bible -->It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe
Salvation losers --->It pleased God by works, church membership, baptism, pew jumping, speaking in tongues, back flipping down the isle, saying 57 hail Mary's, taking the Lord's supper, keeping the sacraments and a dozen other religiously zealous man made efforts to save them

Bible -->NOTHING can separate us from the love of GOD
Salvation losers -->Numerous things can separate us from the love of GOD

Bible--->We are in the Son's hand, the Father's hand and NO AN can remove us from that position
Salvation losers -->The above is false, we can remove ourselves because God is weak and inept

Bible -->We are sealed unto the day of redemption
Salvation losers-->The seal of God can be broken because God is weak and inept

Bible --->Where sin abounds, grace abounds the more
Salvation losers--> We qualify, quantify sin and God's grace only covers those small sins when we mess up and for sure we have never lost it, but eternal security believers lose it because they believe they can live any way they want and live like the devil

Bible --->He that believes on the Son is not condemned
Salvation losers --> Believers are condemned all the time and returned to being goats after becoming sheep

Bible --> I will lose nothing, but raise it up the last day
Salvation losers -->God loses people all the time because he is too weak to keep them saved

Bible--> We are born again from above by INCORRUPTIBLE SEED
Salvation losers --> We are not born of incorruptible seed, because that seed can be corrupted and one die lost after being born again

Bible --> The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable
Salvation losers -->God's free GIFT of salvation can be revoked because GOD will break ALL the above promises and send one to hell after being saved

ETC.............I dare to say that salvation losers are false.....and what they peddle is not of GOD and as blasphemous as it comes......the above is a SMALL sample of scriptural promises that MUST BE DENIED, REJECTED and or SWEPT UNDER THE TABLE to peddle a dime store salvation that cannot be found in the bible and or a dime store salvation that devalues the work, promises and ministry of CHRIST!!!!!!!

Work out our Salvation means to give out what the Holy Spirit has worked in us , not to keep it to ourselves...
We are the salt of the earth , the light on a hill , a lamp in the dark...
I was stuck on that Scripture until God showed me with patience ...

You are His daughter , He is not going to throw you a side , He has called you , so trust in Him , and let the Holy Spirit guide you...xox...

Go back and read the thread.....Peterjens and forgot his other 1 or 2 names.........he tries hard to remain hidden and yet the same writing style, sayings etc. eventually comes out.........

When JESUS said--->It is finished<----this is a legal accounting statement.....it means PAID IN FULL.........when his blood is applied by faith ALL sins are paid in full.........and NOW instead of being deemed GUILTY under the LAW and punished accordingly we are FOUND UNDER GRACE and dealt with as a CHILD and WHIPPED (CHASTENED)..........SIN in a true BELIEVER does not condemn to HELL, but now is directed at FELLOWSHIP......

A son by birth will always be a son by BIRTH and an even deeper truth....SONS sometimes do things that UPSET the FATHER and he may WHIP the crap out of them and or even "PUT them in their room" for a while, yet the fact they are his SON never changes.....

We are born again from INCORRUPTIBLE SEED <----salvation losers would have us believe this seed can be corrupted.............FALSE

You have got to understand conservative evangelical, most other OSAS Churchs, DO NOT BELIEVE what you are describing here. We Believe that one is Born Again, after you come to Him DEEPLY REMORSEFUL for your SINFUL Life Style, and when out of LOVE FOR HIM you surrender complete control of your life to HIM. The Holy Spirit comes into your heart that moment you TRULY BELIEVE, and Births your once dead Human Spirit, changing it forever, to where you will ALWAYS want to PLEASE HIM, by LOVINGLY OBEYING HIS COMMANDS. Obedience is PART OF LOVE HIM, after you have been SAVED by HIM. No we are NOT PERFECT, but we are the ones who will continually LOVE HIM like that.

No that Surrender is NOT an act of works Righteousness. IT IS THE WORK of the Holy Spirit on your HEART (Human Spirit).

1 Corinthians 12:3 (HCSB)
3 Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. [That is a CONFESSION, not just a profession.]

Romans 10:9 (NASB)
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
