My devotion today explained we are not to fear God's will for us and we are to pray about everything yet leave the outcomes to Him. In other words, submit to His Will and give Him all our needs. He does ALL the work. We just Trust.
Think about this truth and the will of God......All that Jesus went through was according to the will of God....Jesus told Paul that he was going to suffer for the cause and indeed he did suffer and then was beheaded in Rome for the cause.......Sometimes the will of God will take us some place we never imagined it would take us and call for us to do something that goes beyond human reasoning and our natural born instinct of staying alive.........!!!!!!

To find your life you must GIVE IT UP

Amen. My life lately has shown me I must trust the Lord. It doesn't matter if I ever understand His Will but I must trust it.

Yes indeed.......it is funny how we, in stubborness, will try to go it alone or throw off God's guidance and will....Imagine being in combat...and the "guy above in the chopper can see all the landmines in a field you must cross" and telling him...NO....I DON'T NEED YOUR INSIGHT, let me cross my own way......somewhat of an analogy of rejecting God's will and council.....

Jesus expressed his love for us
No one can change the past, so that is absolute truth

If we still want "updates" about Jesus, the desire is evidence of Jesus-related thoughts that Jesus can use to help us grow spiritually

May God grant us wisdom

May people like VCO keep me in prayer

WILL DO!

bold, aggressive in faith, even to points of seeming gambits, go all out for God, absolute and thorough, with forwardness

to explain how this might hypothetically be possible ... spiritually rich, or "rich in God"

like how worldly rich people are confident and prideful with worldly wealth as a comparison, with lots of forceful "buying power" and worldly dominance

May God richly bless us with trust for God

When I doubt Lord, help me trust

Lord, why am I so slow to trust?

Good question.
There is a condition called paranoia where the individual feels everyone is out to get them.

In Jesus because of the cross and knowing His love in our hearts, trust is not so much in others
but in His and following His ways, rather than in trying to control everything and see all the
problems coming our way.

Once you know you can put everything into His hands while being reasonable about ones own
responsibilities things change. But it does take faith, trust and taking that step. But after a
few it becomes much easier.

James 2:14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Geesh......go read the thread...James is not peddling faith plus works to be saved

Paul -->Before GOD <<-Therfore we conclude a man is justified by faith without the deess of the law (works)

James ->> The above faith that justifies and saves a man before God is seen by MEN based upon our works

Do you guys even give a flip about context and the truth.....seriously!!

The thread is very clear, you need both Faith and works.

Jame 2:18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

James 2:20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
