It does not mean I do not sin. It means that I am no longer a slave to sin. Read my sig.
And yet you sin constantly whether in thought, word, or deed. Go ahead - say you don't. I triple dog dare ya!
It does not mean I do not sin. It means that I am no longer a slave to sin. Read my sig.
Did Paul say Christians are sinless? (NO)
Did Paul say that Christians are free from sin? (yes, Romans 6:18 and 6:22)
Apparently, you, DC, and Undergrace (the ones who liked your funny post) have not been reading your Bible.
Romans 6:18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
Romans 6:22- Romans 6:22- 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit [g]to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
Romans 6: But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Then why do I keep coming back
SO everytime I have something else to do, I am bailing?![]()
Yet again - Two Natures. Look it up sometime.
tell me more. i dont know anything about two naturesAnd apparently you have no concept of the Two Natures. But, you and ignorance go hand-in-hand.
im listening to calvinism vs open theism debate and it made me think why pray of someone's salvation ever? these men ruled out each other's prayers.
the open theist said why pray if God has already knows who will be saved anyway.
the calvinist said why pray if God is already drawing all men and people have free will to reject or not.
its true. praying for other people makes no sense. either God decreed/knows who will accept, and that number is set in eternity or people have free will and you should be praying to that person to change his mind and not God, God has already sent His spirit to convict the world of sin of unbelief, and is drawing them what more can be done?
can someone tell me if there is a third way?
tell me more. i dont know anything about two natures
are we talking about two natures of Christ? i know all about that
son of man = human
son of God = God

You do it at the moment you get cornered. You first start SHOUTING and then go bye-bye.

This is essential for sure!![]()

Yes, which one do YOU follow, flesh or Spirit. We have to chose one or the other, NOT BOTH.
You guys are SO confused.
Romans 8:4- That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:13- For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify (put to death) the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Big letters are not shouting when I use them. I use them for emphasis for people who have dull ears (in their spirit)![]()
I have not been reading all the posts on this thread, but life is lived moment by moment so it would seem that there can be some variance on how well we walk in the Spirit...seems like common sense to me.
This is why the scripture is filled with exhortations ...right?
Sorry, but it does not work to well actually...if anything it hurts the eyes and has no effect on the ears.
But you and Bud seem to be saying that we are slaves to sin. We are not slaves to sin. WE have been redeemed by the Blood of Christ. Sin has no more dominion over us, and Christ died to destroy the works of the flesh, and we are called to put to death the works of the flesh. NO room for saying that Christians are slaves to sin
Bud's doctrine is very close to the doctrine that is warned against in the first epistle of John.
