James did not hear about a faith alone doctrine

He heard about a CLAIMED faith doctrine, also known as mere belief, And later termed licentiousness

Wow man, You need to go to church and start to learn some things.

More drivel and assumptions....you do not know me or my life...unlike You I boast in Jesus and not the things I do in his name....but of course one that helps a weak jesus not in the bible must boast of what they do in his name.....just like the MANY.....good luck with that

Well, even the ones in Matthew 7:22 (of whom Jesus will say, "I *NEVER* KNEW you") will say, "...HAVEN'T *WE* DONE... MANY WONDERFUL WORKS…" [and even "in thy name" done them!] ...(that was their focus, though being "not-saved persons")

I really, really, really do not like it when Jesus is made into a weak Saviour by promoting their self effort to earn salvation.......my all time trigger!!!:cry::mad:

Some make Jesus a cruel task master, another trigger....they never quote this verse though.....:unsure:

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”…

their root was corrupt....their root being a blend of faith and works for as evidenced by thier own words....

together -->faith plus works for <---Galatians hammers this and at least 3 to 5 in this very thread peddle this view daily......

I know......funny how almost ALL PEDDLERS of a works based false losable self sustained dogma refuse to say who they associate with.....they are actually ashamed to admit who they associate with....speaks volumes
