Does anyone do anything to gain an inheritance? It's a will. A contract. Drawn up by the one who owns all but portions his goods out to his "relatives" or friends upon his death. We as the sons or the bride, accept. What we do with the inheritance is another matter.

The one who writes the will can put stipulations concerning the "power" of use of the inheritance. Yet, the inheritance remains owned by the inheritor.

That's what that passage of scripture is saying. The giftings won't have the unity of the anointing of Holy Spirit.

It's not to be taken lightly.

Just make sure your a saint: following the example of the thief on the cross as if you have no free will. "When you were young you clothed yourself and did what you wanted, but when you will be old, Another Will clothe you and carry you where you don't want to go."

Then at the finality of time, there will be those who won't inherit ruling over cities or nations with Jesus. It's my thought that this would be the giants of our faith. Those who have done much for the Lord on earth.

What might rob these of this promise? This isn't to be taken lightly either.

In fact I almost regret looking. Almost.

What he does not state matters just as much as what he state.
 
We need to wrap around the loins of our mind, the word of Truth, the mind of Christ, "Now we have the mind of Christ." "Greater woks than these shall you do, because I go to the Father." The Holy Spirit poured out on all flesh. The Holy Spirit empowers us to do the Work of God, to Follow Jesus, to bear the cross with Him, By the power of His Spirit. Even Jesus said, "I can do nothing of Myself except what is given to me of the Father." "I see what the Father is doing and do what hew does." Jesus did not do any work of Himself and we follow His example.

And what does believe mean?

12“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

I cannot win when I respond to someone and post 4 verses and they turn around and say I never post scripture.....I do not always post book, chapter and verse, but I regularly quote verses and or reference scripture..........it is pretty sad really........

Someone here said you had to have the right knowledge of the word to be saved.
Paul said if "I have all knowledge and have not Love I am nothing."
Now that disqualifies having the right knowledge as means of salvation.
Thankfully Jesus said, Whosoever will, may come and drink of the water of Life freely."
"And the Spirit and the Bride say come and whosoever will may come and drink of the water of life freely."
It may be better we don't have the right knowledge, as "Knowledge puffs up, but Love builds up."
And I'm feeling safer with my Catholic wife in waiting, especially that she is a gift from God.
There is hidden meaning, mainly "If any man thinks he knows, he does not know as he should.
This not by works page would include right knowledge here, and should help us see that it does not help us walk in Love to have right knowledge, even the gifts of the Spirit don't help us walk in Love until we learn obedience through following Jesus in His sufferings and it's what it means to believe Jesus, to follow Him and learn of the Lord in humility, to be tamed by Him as friends of God.

Amen...many hate the truth.....some 60 to 80 million people were murdered by religionists during the dark ages for refusal to confess once a year in the ears of a priest and or take communion with the Catholic church....NOW I have one who denies the trinity and embraces Catholicism attacking my posts openly......another one on ignore that is not honest and full of deceit..............oh well..........par for the course with MANY that peddle some form of works to gain or keep it......

No wonder Jesus uses the words MANY <---plenteous in number.....

Since Jesus is the One who is able to establish us....justify us THROUGH HIM....

this glorifies God.

Our obedience, due to our faith, glorifies the Father through Jesus, His Son.

Belief and obedience works together but begins with believe.

Which is what we all have been saying Fran. But, if you put obedience first....it's law. Which is what you are saying with your must obey.

Someone said to you that you are putting the cart before the horse. You are.

The Lord wills, wants, desires us to "work" with Him in this life. That's walking in Spirit. Living in Spirit. But this begins by understanding that we are Spirit not flesh. Back to belief.

How do we crucify our flesh daily? Looking at Jesus. We become like Him as we fasten our eyes, our heart upon Him. JPT puts us back into law by fear. Fear is torment.

It's always faith....first.....for faith is an actual substance in the heavenly realms of God. Not just an idea.

The bible is clear on the subject....there is but ONE correct message of salvation.....not 2, 3 or 20........every man, woman and child that reaches an age of understanding that leaves this world having trusted into a false gospel or has not trusted into Christ will be cast into hell and then moved to the lake of fire after the GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT........JESUS was clear, PAUL was clear, JOHN was clear......

JESUS said that MANY will come before his throne claiming HIM as LORD and believing they have right to ENTER based upon the MANY wonderful works they have done in HIS NAME.....HE states clearly that HE never KNEW them and commands them to DEPART from him as the workers of iniquity....THEY have DIED in their SINS having not been biblically SAVED.....their GOSPEL was false

PAUL was clear....ALL who believe the START salvation with FAITH and then FINISH IT off by WORKS are believing a GOSPEL OF A DIFFERENT KIND with NO POWER TO SAVE....those which PEDDLE IT are DOUBLE CURSED and those who believe it are called FOOLS and BEWITCHED.......FAITH plus WORKS to SAVE or KEEP saved has NO POWER to save and is the same GARBAGE believed by the MANY that NAME JESUS as LORD and EXPECT to ENTER based UPON WORKS

Hi UnderGrace, I agree that posting bits and pieces of scripture for an immature Christian over and over is like posting "versets' for Christianets" When everyone here has made their point clear over and over and yet the truth is rejected like you say, then whats the point anymore.

The power of God keeps us , that is what was shown to me as I read 1 Peter , not my power , but God`s...
I have an Inheritance that is kept for me , it will not fade away...
I am protected by the power of God through my faith in Jesus Christ , my faith which is also a gift from God...
What an Amazing , wonderful Almighty God we serve...xox...

That bottom line was meant to say, "God is pleased to save them that believe through the foolishness of preaching'" Don't be afraid of that word foolishness, it's there to show that we don't know God in our understanding and need to go deeper than that. So don't fool yourself, your not saved in your understanding. Yes you and everyone who trusts in their understanding that they have been made the righteousness of God but don't go deeper than that, "Lean not on your understanding but trust in the Lord. If the case of a mater of correct understanding would save us, the law could have saved us. You end up judging yourself with the same judgment you judge others with and that's always the case, always, until we love our enemies and stop judging them. LOve is the only power that will change an enemy into a friend. I happen to like you, maybe you need to be saved from yourself like the rest of us.
