Thanks Bro.....leaving Sydney about 2:40 and have about 15 hours in air to Dallas....then couple hours layover then a quick flight to St. Louis....get in about 4:30 the same day I leave....haha time travel is possible hahaha
Question for all:
I just read Matthew 24 but started at the beginning of the chapter. Could it be that Jesus was speaking of different periods to come?
Jesus is beginning to speak of the Temple being torn down. The disciples then ask what will be the sign of the end of the "age". Some translations say end of the world. But look at the words in your concordances. I believe He is calling the temple being destroyed and the dispersion then of the Jews the end of the age. The age of the nation? Jews?
Then He begins to speak of signs of the end of time.
Also the abomination of desolation. Is this really a man? Or was it the roman army doing its destruction?
I read the ISV.
Another thing and this is a completely different topic but bear with me a bit.
In the KJV, it says...
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
ISV...
Luke 16:16 "The Law and the Prophets remained until John. Since then, the good news about the kingdom of God has been proclaimed, and everyone entering it is under attack.
The ISV makes sense. Christians are attacked. Jesus said the sword would divide us. Plus it goes with the Greek.
Perhaps we need to approach the Word differently?
Am not trying to bash the Bible here and cause a ruckus about errors in scripture for scripture is God breathed. Men make errors not God.

I have 50 acres and 9100 square feet of cabins in Mark Twain National Forest about 70 miles south west of St. Louis...that is where I fly in and out of.....
Matthew 24 contains dual prophecy in my view....part of it is directed at the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans and the rest is applicable to the end of the age.....If I remember right it is actually one question in Greek with 3 different aspects......been a while though so don't quote me on that part
And as you know I am fully post trib pre wrath ingathering......!
Well......My last night in Sydney after a 6 week trip....always sad to leave...went to the beach today, staying in a nice 5 star hotel in Sydney, had an excellent filet (steak) at a really nice Italian resturant, good company, good times and as always, thankful to the Lord for all the abundant blessings I do not deserve..........Always have mixed feelings about flying back to the U.S........

Yeah, I hear ya....I have been here 21 times last three and a half years....spent as much time here as in the U.S. and consider Australia my second home....Just turned 52 yesterday and was here for Xmas and New Years.....same last year
Some are.....some I let friends use on weekends etc.....
