James 2:26 There's a comma between the both I understand that the body without the spirit is dead in about two different ways...the other states as the the other scripture where the Samaritan seen a person lying in his path hurt and took him to the inn and gave some currency to help the man then said if you need more apply it to my account when I get back I will pay you..then another if you see someone cold and tell him to go and keep warm but don't give him anything such as a jacket..what good is that? Faith and works need to work together. But you are saying a dead faith ...it has my head circling around that either you have faith in the lord or you don't. Faith apart from knowing the word is diffrent..such as someone who has fallen but knows the word he can still pass his knowledge on to someone else..no credit to him he was probably under attack and fell...but he still knows the word.
And a false gospel of faith plus works to secure, top off, embellish or finish salvation is not only false, has no power and equates the one peddling it to being cursed and all who believe it are fools and bewitched.....

*So James does not teach that we are saved "by" works. His concern is to show the reality of the faith professed by the individual (James 2:18) and demonstrate that the faith claimed (James 2:14) by the individual is genuine. Simple!

I don't know who I would die for till the moment comes a preacher once told me a story that a man his son and his sons friend went out on a boat ride, it capsized and both children were drowning knowing that his son was saved and the other wasn't he saved the other boy and his son died..I know that might have been off course...but if I know I am dying for the Lord by doing what I think is in his will I could in any case and for anyone...but I would not die for something other..Jesus gives us Salvation and a place for us with him if we believe John 3:16 He also said do not fear the one who can destroy the body, but the one who can destroy the body and soul...I have everything to pick me up when I die for the Lord.
