The law is written on our hearts, given to bring awareness of our sinful state before a holy and righteous God. The Law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith, for without faith, it is impossible to please God. Paul called himself a blasphemer, but he did not die in that state. On the one hand you want to say there is no reason for pastors and teachers etc because we have the Holy Spirit to convict us of sin, while now you are at least backhandedly acknowledging that we need teachers to inform us. You are on a slippery slope.
Pastor means Shepard his/her job is to lead. A teachers job is to teach the holy spirit ministers to our hearts and the devil accuses. Good night. I'm done 4, 2 nite. bye!

God knew his heart, remember? He was not denying his belief in Jesus, he was denying knowing Him to save his own skin. Please acknowledge there is a difference. Your slippery slope tilts too much!

Your straight edge theology..a denial is a denail is a denial ..im SHOWING UPI the "exception" to your theology rule..CHECK MATE.. Should be even WORSE for Peter..Peter KNEW Jesus n saving his skin..the unsaved DINT know JESUS but are commiting the unforgivable sin..hmm

Magenta..you are so off base..my comment was in REPLY to BBB..taking it out of context n putting words in my mouth again is twisting my meaning..shame on you...
Shame on you for denying the words of Jesus. I am not ashamed to proclaim the Truth of the gospel :)

Denying the Gospel via YOUR interpretation..YES..GUILTY!
Nope. Jesus said Judas was doomed to destruction, and you want to pretend his suicide could have been repentance unto salvation despite that fact. We all start out as non-believers; we are born to it. That is part of the gospel message also.

No one said repentance unto salvation..he felt remorse..confessed his sin..gave the money back and MAYBE (bible doesnt say) judas DID become saved before he died..WE DONT KNOW...so to be definative like he absolutely was not a christian you cant say cause the Bible doesnt say...only God knows..

J.....,

For correct clarity...I conclude you meant..."born again". Saved is reserved for decision by
G-d at judgement.

I have read what you said. Are you now pretending you did not want us to believe all along that you think Judas could have been saved, and that despite the very words of Jesus, we have no way of knowing whether he was or not? Your pretenses are wearing thin... like your desire to drop it. Oh, right, you only wanted ME to drop it. You had no intention of doing so.

I made no pretense of wanting to drop it, and you are being dishonest if you pretend otherwise. I told you I was bound to correct your errors if you persisted in posting to me, which you did. Your persistence is as proof that you did not want to drop it at all! You just wanted me to.

God allows us to use the term saved. As long as we know we are prophesying the future. It is like God calling things that are not as though they were. He is calling it from the future. We can use the same language, as our Lord, with wisdom and discernment.

From out of left field: Could suicide of a Christian and destroying the work of the Holy Spirit constitute Blasphemy of the H.S.? I sure don't know but sometimes I wonder.
Blasphemy of the spirit has to do with the HS, Attributing his works or words to someone else. or dissenting from his truth.

Ie, it is rejecting the gospel of salvation by grace. All are in danger of commiting this unpardonable sin, But as jesus said, when the pharisees attributed his works to satan, They were in danger, We have till we die to repent and come to truth.
